3rd Ford Explorer/won't be my last
I have owned 3 Ford Explorers now, and have loved each one of them. The first one was a 4 door as I had kids, and the 4 door seemed practical. After the kids left the nest I traded that Explorer ( nothing wrong with it) for a 2 door Explorer sport. I owned that vehicle for 13 years, sold it at 220,000 miles and it is still running great I am told. I had to sell my 2 door because I was starting to have grandchildren, and getting the little ones out of their car seats with a 2 door can be a little tricky. So, now I am back to a 4 door... Life sure revolves! But I love this Ford Explorer just like I loved the other two. The seats are so comfortable, the engine runs good, I feel very safe, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it from the Carolinas to California! Lately thought my transmission has been a little quirky, it doesn't feel like it is going out, it just shifts a little hard at times... but I have faith in her!! I will always be a Ford Explorer owner. It is now April of 2019. Since I last left my review above... I have had problems!! Both ball bearrigs went out, had some front end work of which I can't remember what all was wrong... but enough for me to not feel safe driving it, and I had to have the front Differential replaced... NOT CHEAP!!!! I have way more into this truck then it will ever be worth. Might as well just drive it to the ground. I am disappointed as the 2 previous Ford Explorers that I owned were SO good to me!!!

Quiet Ride
My 2007 Explorer rides very well, the seats are comfortable, and the interior noise is minimal. The driver buttons/controls are well laid out. The tan leather seats look dirty after six months, and the leather does not continue into the rear pockets in the seat backs. The V8 drives nicely, and the transmission is very smooth, except when coming to a stop, where it jerks forward and makes a clunking sound when from 2nd to 1st gear. The dealer recalibrated the transmission...issue is not resolved at this time.
Beautiful car, strong, will get you anywhere
I did have to replace the transmission, but once I did, the car worked beautifully. Tows well, handles well, 4X4 in the snow works great. Its comfortable and the sound system works amazingly. I love this car.

Great Ride
I couldn't be happier with this truck. We just turned in our Mercedes R-class and bought this '07 leftover. It rides better than the Mercedes by a long shot and it's a heck of lot more fun to drive. It has everything we wanted including Nav and RES. I'm looking forward to many many years of driving this thing.
