Replacement at 150k miles - total loss!
Apparently this model has a cam-phaser issue. Should have been able to replace the sensors for just a few thousand which is bad enough, however there's some kind of compatibility issue with motors for this model vehicle. Which means dealerships and mechanics will not fix it without a total motor replacement. At the tune of around $13k, it renders my car useless and my money down the toilet as I cannon even re-sell it used. There's nothing else wrong with this car and it should easily last another 10 years or $150,000 miles, but instead I'm having to total it after only a year and a half of ownership. Will never buy a a Ford again.

2015 Limited Expedition
This is my 3 rd Expedition. Previous two were both turned in at 200,000 miles with great reliability and no problems. So I went with another and I am extremely happy with the car. It has been on 2 trips 2 3 hr. drives and a 8 hr. drive to the Fla. Keys. Six passengers and luggage on the roof and the ride and mileage was still good. Gas mileage is great and the ride is quiet. The glove box and the fog lights are my only complaints. Fogs are dim and getting stuff out of the center box is hard and tight. Those being the only 2 is good. Ford could have done a better job with interior materials i.e. more leather. Seats are comfortable, ride is tight , quiet and smooth. Look into the Limited. It offers more features than XLT and a better ride on 20 inch tires compared to 18" The car is much faster than you think with the 3.5 V 6. I eco drive it when I drive and get exceptional mileage at around 45 to 50 mpg. I looked and compared it to other SUV's and came back to the Ford. Hope this was helpful.

Awesome Ride
Opting for a SUV means a large vehicle, but the 2015 Expedition is anything but bulky. It feels light and fast, while having power to spare, even when you have a trailer or boat behind.

230k mile God.
I recently bought a 2012 Expedition limited wirh 238k miles on it...An ungodly amount of miles to consider purchasing. But the trucks exterior and interior were well taken care of. The truck had one owner that took his vehicle to the dealership for regular scheduled maintainable and let me tell you...This baby started with little effort, idled very quietly, shifted butter smooth...In putting in reverse and backing I couldn't feel nor hear the transmission shifting. The negative is when getting it up to 80-85 mph, there exists a slightl hesitation like with engines that have a governor on them, yet when you push it closer to 90 moh that disappears. The only other con outside of the gas mileage is the moonroof is broken and upon inspection I noticed some real cheap components... All in all though I would feel both safe and secure driving my Ms. Daisy anywhere!

Hate my Expedition
Bought it used from a dealer. 35K miles. Transmission and suspension issues at 77K miles. Dealer suggested a $10,000 repair as the warranty is only 3 yrs 36,000. Traded it and bought a German car. Better tech, better warranty, better ride / handling and almost as much cargo. Expedition ? Never again. . . .
