Nice but disappointing

Bought 2017 Sport - Ruby Red. Nobody does ruby red like Ford. Sharp and rich color! Too many squeeks and rattles developed after 4K miles. Sound system (12 speakers) was great, turbo engine totally awesome (0-60 in 5.7 seconds), handled curves great; however the 21 inch wheels hard as a rock and prone to pot hole damage. Bought 19 inch Ford OEM wheels and the ride was so much softer without sacrifice of handling. But the noises just started popping up all over the place. Fit and finish was noted as body lines were off (i.e rear hatch not aligned, door molding on driver side did not square off with connecting part as on passenger side, ticking sound from climate control sensor that drove me batty (would've put duct tape over it to silence but that would defeat climate control). Wanted to really love the vehicle but could not. Was a nice vehicle but so many disappointments that detracted from how nice it was - hence disappointment. No lumbar support by the way (actually very minimal). Great rear seat leg room. Great cargo space. Good head and leg room for tall person (I am 6'4") but left leg has to slide past the foot block and reset behind the brake pedal. Fortunately, the space behind brake pedal is large and my size 13's did not interfere with braking.

Our Edge is now 4 years old. It looks brand new when it is cleaned. We have the original battery, brake shoes and only replaced the tires recently because it had over 55,000 miles on it. It has a wide body so when you're in the vehicle there is lots of room in the backseat and the trunk is longer. With the EcoBoost we get over 25 mies per gallon.. We will probably get the next one in a hybrid

This vehicle has been the worst purchase of my life. At 40k I had an engine replacement. Now at 90k I need a new engine replacement. Very dangerous vehicle to be inside. Barely Moves!!! Car goes into a reduced power mode due to engine coolant temps. Now they want me to pay $7800. There should be a recall!!!

2017 Ford Edge Titanium 4dr SUV (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6A)

17' Edge Titanium has been quite different from driving an old car! All the features, electronic steering, and for me fwd that did good in 5in of snow. Really like voice commands, electronic steering, ambient lighting, 10 way seat adj, relaxing noise cancelling system, reclining heated rear seats and the sound system is good-clear bass. Sharp body, comfy suspension, the list is long. It's a sweet SUV.
