excellent
I have had this car for 2 years now and I love it. I haven't had any problems with it at all. I have a 2 year old son and it is great for him too. This car has excellent design and it just an all around car
Super Car
We love the style of the Contour. Wish they would make a newer model. The driving aspect on a scale from 1-10 is a 10. I have no complaints. But one I wish I would've bought one sooner. Ford Motor Company needs to rethink there decision about not making anymore. I would buy new if they would build more. The backspace is more than adequate. We have no problems & my brother in law is 6"8 & he does not complain about the back seat.

It's ok
Acceleration is great. Engine seems to be reliable, but who knows. The biggest problem I have had with this car is replacing the radiator. With it inside the front support, I had to contract with a local shop to get do it myself. Also, fuel filter bracket is terrible. After only one Wisconsin Winter, it was rusted to pieces. Suspension is nicely tuned, but my Kia out drives it. Even the 2.5L V6 doesn't hold a candle to my 1.8L 4- popper.
unknown, unappreciated, under-rated...
The engine loves to be revved and sounds wonderful while doing it. The shifter action and handling are the best from any fwd American car yet. Sure, its low 15 second 1/4 mile time is respectable, but this car's strong points are its handling and highway cruising abilities. Not that it's slow in a drag race either; just drag racing wasn't its intent. The Contour SVT was easily the best handling fwd sport sedan ever available in America until the recent Mazda Protégé, but still beats that car in acceleration. The car is not perfect, but it does what it was made for very well.
Better than really good, but not perfect
Title says it all
