We bought a new 2015 C-Max Hybrid. Found it to be very comfortable, easy to drive, peppy, fit nicely into parking spots, good mileage (not like a Prius's mileage but much nicer to drive IMO). The hatch had plenty of room, I could fit my bike in there without taking off the tire! We liked it so much but when we got solar panels on our roof we decided to get the PHEV, so we bought a 2017 PHEV. And gave the 2015 to our daughter. The C-Max Energi does not have as much room in the back, but the front is just as comfortable. We were happy with both of them and probably would have kept buying C-Maxes, but they stopped making them. I still don't know why. It does not have high clearance like an SUV but as long as you know that you should be fine. Update June 2022. Still love it and feel this way! Updated December 2023. Still like the car—our daughter is still driving and loving hers (non-Energi). It has over 130,000 miles. The battery on the PHEV is now charging to about 2/3 of what its capacity was a few years ago. I don’t know much about how long that should last.

Nothing horrible but nothing special

Gas mileage no better than previous car-a 2012 Ford Focus. Low to the ground so hard to get in and out of-regularly hit head. Batteries reduced cargo area. Shift stick was in the way of some dashboard items making them hard to see/reach. But a comfortable drive, good brakes and excelleraton. Needed no major repairs in 2 years.

A Great PHEV, Great Ride and Comfort

The C-Maxi Energi is a great platform. It has a beautiful ride and is very comfortable. Very nice handling and performance. Real-world gas mileage is 41 mpg. One downside with the C-Max is the high replacement parts cost. One headlamp is about $1300 plus labour. There's lots to love about this car. Too bad Ford decided to stop producing them with this model year. Just spent our first cold winter with the C-Max (we are usually in warm weather for the winter). Electric range was down to 18 miles, fully charged. Using electric only in cold weather has the problem of drawing down the battery for the heater and seat warmers. Suggest switching to motor only to save the battery for use later.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica Mini Van Turning Radius 19.85′ + 2017 Ford C-Max Turning Radius 19.19′ !! The Handling of the C-Max leaves alot to be desires, the U turn is so wide you feel like your driving a Truck or actually the Escape SUV made the U turn better !! Why it gets 40 mpg the salesman said, gee I get that on my Honda Civic gasoline engine older car !!

Love my Ford C-Mac

I have a Ford C-Max and truly love it more than the Toyota Prius I owned. It has comfortable supportive seats, seat warmers for on cold days, great front window view, better gas milage and more comfortable seats than the Toyota Prius I previously owned. The keyless access to unlock the doors is the best ever! The sensors can detect the key in your pocket and unlock the door. There are many other positives about my Ford C-Max that I absolutely love as well. If I live long enough, I will purchase another one without hesitation.
