Used 2002 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 Quad Cab Consumer Reviews
Gas Hog
The gas milage is 12.2 with exclusively highway driving(really bad).Great truck, turns heads everywhere I go.The ride is great except for rear end skipping.I have almost been killed several times driving on downward grade, highway speeds, slightly wet surface, slight curve, hit a bump and I almost loose control.Otherwise I feel safe.Good power,I'm sure it tows well.Hard to manuever, need wide open spaces, not good for city driving.Lots of leg and head room.Power windows are really sloooow.Better off with the 4.7, get all disk brakes w/ABS.
Great truck
Great ride, great looking, great sounding: this is a TRUCK. I am in Texas and I purchased the Lone Star Edition which includes the 20" wheels. Gas mileage could be better, but it's not an issue with me. Everyone who rides the truck likes how high it is... Probably will get some step bars for my wife and others...

Excellent Buy
If you're looking for a solid new truck this is the one...I love it and I'd recommend it to anyone for a new truck or a second. Four real doors and a lot of power, even for the new 4.7L V-8. I got to test-drive a comparibly equiped Chevy (with the 5.7 L V8) and it didn't drive as well mine, and the transmission whined a little too much for my liking.
Rust flecks in white paint??
Love everything about the truck except for the lack of metal in the front. Also, there are little rust spots all over the truck in the white paint. Looks like there are tiny metal shavings in the paint. The silver paint along the bottom is unaffected.
Dodge Ram Rules again!
I have the 20" wheels and no truck other than the 02 Ram looks right with large rims. The handling of the truck beats Ford and Chevy hands-down. The 4.7 V8 has plenty of "get in front of Ford" power.
