Bought van used with 40k on it and an orig. sticker of $32,900 Gave $15,000 for it used. Go Dodge ! For some reason I still love this van. I guess because you can haul the world in it. Problems include A/C clutch bearing went bad, can't get a new bearing so we need whole new compressor. 900 bucks. Power rear lift and driver side sliding door have minds of their own. Infinity stereo e.q. has short do not move it or else! After a run up in the N. Georgia Mts the tranny isnt the same. It groans and whines like it's on its last leg. That was 15k ago and it's still coming back for more. When the engine is cranked after sitting overnight this van sounds like a Deere not Dodge. Van now has 91K.

I must admit it was hard to move into the group of mini-van owners, but since doing so my wife and I are pleased. After researching our options, we settled on purchasing a Dodge Grand Caravan. Sure, we could have spent thousands more for the Odyssey or Sienna, but Dodge met our needs...and, we have money left over! So far, we have been extremely satisfied with the vehicle's performance, comfort, reliability and design. The fuel economy isn't great, just average (18 mpg for city driving). The Dodoge Grand Caravan, so far, is our recommendation for mini-van buyers. Our only request, add the hide-a-way third row seats.

The van likes the shop more than me

I really like this vehicle but it spends too much time in the shop. Too many issues (window motor, door motor, AC, radio, trans) to mention here but the high end extended warranty 7 yr/100K mile was worth it. We received $8-10K worth of work via the warranty. It has a sports handling package & rides well but with some noise. We take this to FL from DC every year. Interior is nice, somewhat plasticky but solid. Exterior is very sporty & one of the nicer looking vans on the road. I enjoyed the van but even with the warranty, it sucked the life out of me going back & forth to the dealer. We replaced it with a Sienna. This was our 3rd Chrysler, don't buy one without a warranty.
