Used 1998 Chrysler Concorde Consumer Reviews
Beautiful ride
This car has been a joy. The interior spaciousness; the massive trunk; the beautiful exterior; the tight handling... This car fit our family's needs to a 'T'. Was it perfect? No. The engine whined a bit when pushed. There were a few minor electrical gremlins over the years. The door-mounted speakers were a bit tinny. We had Chrysler add sound-proofing under warranty. If we had paid $60,000 for this car, I might feel differently, but this car was worth every penny of its $25,000 purchase price, and then some. Can't tell you how many people, over the years, have commented on how beautiful the car is. We'll be holding on to it for another two years, or so.
2.7 litre engine stinks on 98 Concorde
I loved my Concorde and would never have dreamed that 2 years after I purchased it and paid off a $9,000.00 dollar loan I wouldn't be driving it anymore. The engine blew unexpectedly. I have heard so many people now say that the 2.7 engine stinks and the car engine was not built correctly. I can't believe Chrysler has not opted to help the customer out and recall these cars because of this, I work hard for my money and now have to sink my money into another car. Do not buy a Chrysler Concorde with a 2.7 engine, they stink.

Great style, wouldn't buy another
Great style, amazing fuel economy (24MPG), comfortable, enormous space (the back is like a limo), good performance considering the engine is only 3.2 liter in such a large car. Handling not bad either. Dealers unpleasant. Horrible buying experience, worse service - snotty attitude, rip off pricing including doing unneccessary work Quality a problem. Squeaks, rattles. Leaking power steering. Problem starting at one stage. Transmission failure. A/C fan failure. Driver's power window failed twice, including collapsing into the door in a rainstorm, electrical problems, including flashing headlights. I decided that was the end...
Awful
We bought our car in 2006. Our biggest problems have been....in order to get to the battery, you have to jack up the car and take the front wheel off; You can't possibly change the headlight bulbs yourself; the brake lines went; the front drivers side seat broke; the gas gage broke; the headlights have to have the scratches buffed out at least once a year; the check engine light never came on untill the day the engine went...no warning; oh, and the windsheild design makes you feel sick when you drive it.
Very happy Concord owner
We purchased our Concord to replace the family minivan that served us well for 10 years. This car looks great and drives even better. Lots of leg room in back for teenage family and friends. Mega trunk has lots of room. We put many miles on since owning it and have enjoyed the long trips as well as the short ones. We added a spoiler to go past the family car image.
