Trim NOT LISTED This version (W/T, 6 cyl.4x4) Colorado no longer offered. Full 6 ft. bed and extended cab with limited rear seat room. Very responsive 6 cyl. variable valve timing which runs as a 4cyl. at cruising speed- but Unfortunately no cruise control, so driver must maintain the cruising speed for the better mpg. 25 mpg highway Tow pkg. w/8 selectable lower gears; 8 spd. trans shifts down easy in Drive & hill-holds. Avg mpg 21. Useful mpg monitor. Comfortable seating, rearview mirror dims Dash tech is OK. Drive controls very good. Good visibility, good AC and heater. front seats, are terrible ( they angle down at the rear of them ), steering wheel won't tip forward far enough, for ease of getting in or out. side door pockets are useless. because of the seat angle, and steering wheel problem ( not tipping forward far enough ) I am constantly turning the headlight switch off and the four wheel drive switch on when I get in or out of the truck. those dial switches are mounted IN THE WRONG PLACE !!!! )" VERY UNCOMFORTABLE" for long distance driving. and that message that keeps popping up on my touch screen, about paying attention while driving, you have to take your eyes off the road to read it. who was the GM IDIOT that came up with that idea ?. overall not happy GM PLEASE BUY IT BACK !.

Holding my breath

Within months of ownership, had the big problem of not being able to put gas into car. Then GM went on strike and was w/o vehicle for 2 weeks, not even knowing if they had diagnosed the problem correctly, since this has been a problem since at least 2004! Got it back and have to admit that at least I can put gas into the truck normally. It still bothers though that when the warranty expires this will be MY problem even though GM knows that their entire system of putting fuel into some of their vehicles is flawed. Too bad. Its not that bad of a truck. On long trips one of the few vehicles I can still feel comfortable in. Nice lines to it and it shines up great. Can get 25 mpg or so locally which is better than any other small pickup I have owned. Clutch stinks ! Been back with this also and told nothing can be done. Been driving stick 40 yrs and this one is terrible. Holding my breath about this one though. Plastic parts are cheap and scratch easily and splash guard around front of vehicle is pot marked and looks like its ready to fall off. Wonder how the rest of the vehicle was assembled. UPDATE 9/23/21 - Just BEFORE warranty expired, @ 35,500 hahahah, couldn't get gas into the truck! Lousy fuel system problem AGAIN. Another few days of system repair that goes back to 2004 !!!!!!! Peripherals of the car are cheap; mud/splash guards, plastics inside/out the cabin etc. Body finish is still a plus, as is gas mileage around town @ 25mph while i get 30+ at times on long trips. Car is underpowered and has to be downshifted on any decent incline. Been drivin clutch 40+ yrs and still grabs into first. Non adjustable according to Chevy. Suspension is back breaking over rough roads, but can sit back on long trips comfortably. Talked to a mechanic; practically the entire undercarriage comes from china and you know what that means at some point. I wanted a truck w/stick and I got it, try and find another one in any make, but if this is what 25k buys nowadays no wonder GM is a shadow of what it used to be. STILL holding my breath when something major goes to see what its going to cost to fix it...... Update 3/'22- Still own this truck & everything above is still viable. I'm out of warranty now and still holding my breath about the fuel system. When you start to put gas into tank, nozzle clicks off 2-3x before you can fill. VERY slowly. Suspension VERY stiff, over the slightest bumps you're going to get jabbed. Ironically, on long trips rides like a sedan. Local gas mileage is 25mph & is the best of any of the trucks i've ever owned. I wanted a stick truck and i have one. Try & find another stick; mine was a freak, a "price leader" that came off a delivery the dealership didn't even know it was on. It serves the purpose i use it for & i don't like overpriced ( think Ranger, Tacoma, Nissan, Gladiator) "trucks" with 4 doors & 4' beds. You're STUCK with Chevy, and i haven't seen another one like mine these last 3 years. If it stays the way it is w/o any big problems, i'd just be satisfied..... Buy with caution Update 9/23/22- Basically everything above is still viable. Front splashgard is discolored & cracked and at some point will probably fall off. Have appx 42K on it now & its still very stiff over the slightest of rough roads, but the gas mileage is still ok even with the cheap "gas" that's out there today. Of major concern is the filling process is starting to get bad again. Nozzle constantly click off every 2 seconds ; everyone around you looks at you like an idiot that doesn't know how to put gas in a vehicle. I'm out of warranty, Chevy doesn't want to know anything, and its a PITA to fill this truck up with the lousy venting system they have on this truck. This has always been a problem with Chevys going back to the 90s and they've done absolutely nothing about this situation. Only way around it seems to be to put a funnel into the outlet and pour gas in from 5 gallon cans. Not bad if you're home & local but what about when you're on the road ? Fix is 1k+; what, fix it to have it break down again after 3 times of being fixed. Screw Chevy for future purchases.
