I have had mine brand new through my company since 2015. The electric locks no longer work on either front doors. Avoid every pot hole, because it feels like the wheels are coming off and prepare to have the front end aligned every other pot hole. Also be prepared for your butt to continuously be puckered on the interstate. I recommend getting a brighter headlight bulb, sticks suck. My only pro for this van is that it is free to drive, but safety comes first and this van lacks it.

My Chevy City Express van front end died at 16k easy miles! Van was versatile with utility, great gas mileage (30 mpg combined!) as long as you do not stomp at take off like most people but was used very gingerly, babied and still front end parts fell apart! The 4 cylinder engine is just powerful enough with a full 1500 lb. load! Gas sipper. 30 mpg combined! Manueverability is excellent too until front end clunked and wore out. The CVT transmission is horrible. Won't last! I planned on customizing the interior and adding seats, belts and chrome wheels against the pipe black paint but unlawful to do it unlicensed now. EASY load/unload everything! My wife and I were planning to take it with our bicycles to see/ride the U.S.A. in our Chevrolet but turned out to be a Foreign Junk Nissan made in Mexico. We sold this van for a loss!!! I wish Chevrolet still made an Astro Quality Van and with improved gas mileage without a tow package.

When I got this van I loved it. I see some reviews stating that it's slow, but it's only slow on takeoff (like a golf cart) and that's because it has a continuous variable transmission (CVT), which is supposed to save gas (don't see how it possibly could). I drive between 95 and 115mph daily on the highway. How fast does it need to be? I also see reviews dinging it for cargo space compared to others. The only van of its size that I have found to have more room is the Ram. The Ford Transit (small one) does not have more room for cargo and it also doesn't have a 3/4 ton load capacity (nor overhead clearance) like the City Express, which you can actually load a full pallet into (including 50-25lb bags of rock salt), with a forklift and still have some room in front of the pallet. It's a small cargo van, if you need more room, choose a bigger van (the 'Big 3' make at least 3 different size cargo vans depending on what you need). This little van has a higher load capacity than my full sized pickup and gets between 25-35mpg. Why my bad rating, you ask? Because despite the decent things I mentioned above, there are a lot of cons people should know before buying one of these tin cans. *Body mechanics are total garbage. The door handles and latches are the cheapest junk metal they could find to build these. Passenger door won't open, driver side side door won't open, rear door handle sticks open and has to be maneuvered manually to keep it from flying open, passenger side door latch doesn't spring back on its own, has to be tripped to close it. The only door that still works good is the one that gets used the most (ironically)- the driver door. *14 gallon gas tank means the decent gas mileage doesn't stop you having to get gas daily (or in my case, twice a day). *The windshield is cursed. I have had to replace my windshield 3 times in 2 years. Seems a mosquito splatting against it will crack it. *Requires 6 ply tires and most tire shops refuse to put regular tires on it- so instead of $40/tire, it's $180/tire. And it EATS tires (but that could be my high speed driving on them). Front tires bald within a year, rear tires like brand new (but seem to always leak and I have to air up all the time). *Odometer is useless if you have a tire that is 1lb under optimal air pressure because the tire sensor hijacks the panel and you can't view anything unless you fill the tire to "perfect" pressure- which sucks when they lose about 20lbs of pressure overnight in the winter. Back tires ALWAYS start leaking after about 3 months on new tires.- cleaned and replaced rims twice to see if that would fix the problem. Nope. The motor in this thing has handled my hard driving habits, but just about every other physical aspect of this van is junk. Chevy should refund everyone for buying this Nissan made garbage and putting their bowties on them.

Don't expect a fast car its perfect for what its advertised as a work van! I have had it for a week now and drive it for work its comfortable roomy I just hope the reliability down the road will be there. Time will tell. If your looking for power its not for you if you want better (not great) gas mileage take a look at the city express. I did a lot of research before I purchased it's a nice vehicle so far love the passenger seat as a desk feature. So far so good.
