The M340ix is a joy to drive and is also very easy to live with day to day. The seats are comfortable, the heads up display is fabulous, and the car is a joy to drive. You point it where you want to go and it just goes. 0-60 in 3.8 seconds...this car has torque and horsepower for days. Put it in sport and enjoy carving up mountain roads or flooring it on the straights.

I gave up a 2016 Audi A6 with the 3L supercharged engine for the new 2020 M340i xdrive a year ago. Yes, the 3 series is smaller, but the A6 was somewhat ho-hum.... plenty of luxury, good looks just missed the excitement factor. I have a Carrera S manual as well for weekends so I was looking for a bit more excitement and agility for my DD. Looked at the new Audi’s, MB, and then test drove the M340i....I left that test drive with the biggest smile of everything tested and after I ordered mine from the factory In Germany waited with anticipation for it to arrive. A year later I have to say it has not disappointed! Plenty of power, great technology, great lighting, and best of all, great handling! It’s a lot of fun in sport mode and has an aggressive exhaust note. No regrets whatsoever - although mine as optioned was around $70k so a bit pricey for a 3 series. I can only imagine how badass the M3 will be when released in 21!
