So to start off the car was a gift for my wedding, though it was anywhere close to what I was looking at to trade my fully loaded Mazda3 for, I accepted it as that lease was up and figured it may not be something I’m interested in but it’s a lease. To start with the car is not worth it’s own weight in steel. At $42,000 and not even having genuine leather, gps, upgraded sound system, or some kind of active safety tech in it was highly disappointing. Even at least one of those would create some value in it. Acceleration and the stop/start are both lame ducks as the car turns of or stalls 50/50 chance and then shoots forward or keeps the engine off even after the brake is released so you can’t move even at a green light for some time. Eventually I had to got to court with BMW for lemon law, as no dealer south of Orlando in Florida could fix anything wrong in the car. It all starts at 3500 miles. I brought the car in after washing it because it was pouring rust water out of the driver and rear driver-side door. I and my family have religiously driven imports (myself Japanese, and my mom and dad German cars) and never has this happened to any of them. BMW insisted that everything was fine in the service drive with no actual examination or service paperwork and sent me on my way. By 4,000 miles the car had begun stalling, at first it was only when it was warming up and I quickly shifted to gear to rush to work. Then it started becoming a major issue, stalling on I-95 randomly at intersections, suddenly while pulling out of my driveway even after the warm up period. Nearly causing countless accidents. Every time ending in me bringing it to our dealer to be turned away after at most a lap around the dealership with them never bring it into the shop or popping the hood. Insisting that I just didn’t like the car and wasn’t used to the stop/start function, which after being told enough there’s nothing wrong you desperately want to believe that they right. At 9,000 the car alerted me that an oil change was necessary and I scheduled it with the dealer, while pulling out of my driveway the car stalled again, luckily with no cars coming, and headed to the dealer. Upon arriving to the dealer I was brought in given the typical loaner, paid my deposit and was off figuring I’d see the car the next day as promised. Halfway to work however I received a phone call informing me that the entire engine bay was covered in oil that had sprayed out from every gasket in the engine and it needed to be disassembled cleaned and the gaskets replaced. All under warranty luckily and that I was lucky that I was heading to the dealer instead of work and the daily routine because the damage would have been catastrophic if I hadn’t brought it in. In the following year of having it I went to the other dealers in the area all of which pretty much did the same thing when there was a problem they’d eyeball it in the service drive and declare nothing wrong, with everything from what turned out to be a fried infotainment system, more stalling, rough shifting, smelling oil, sunroof open, passenger seatbelt alarm, frozen infotainment. This January 2019 I decided enough was enough and submitted all report to the state and BMW and filed for lemon law. Retained an attorney, and proceeded lemon law hearings as the car was repeatedly refused to be looked at, and in every dealership they would give it a clean bill of health. At the request of my attorney I brought the car up to Coggin BMW of the treasure coast, dropped the vehicle off for a full check almost 2 hours away from my home and took the loaner, while out to lunch back home I received the best/worst phone call from BMW. They went to begin checking the vehicle and servicing it to discover the car with all windows open in the middle of the worst rainstorm of the year. With the entire floor filled with water forcing them to entirely replace all of the upholstery, and strip the interior of the car down to metal to dry it out as they did not believe the vehicle should be totaled even with $8500 worth of flooding damage. 3 weeks later I picked my car up, after learning that if a single dealer in south Florida would have plugged in the car for a diagnostic test they would have found a short in the driver door causing all of the electrical issues in the vehicle. Including most of the stalls, warning lights and everything. The car still stalled after occasionally, but the worst of it was diagnosed. That was at approximately 30,000 miles. The vehicle now has 38000 and the lease almost up, along with nearly 3 years of total exhaustion with the fighting with a car company that out of their mouth “its only a 3 series.”

Manual transmission+track handling package ROCKS.
With a six-speed, all-wheel drive and ultra-high-performance (UHP) all-season non-runflat tires this car is an awesome 4 season sports sedan that's more than $20k cheaper than an M3 (which is two wheel drive). The 340 has plenty of animal nature for street driving, with superb handling and 0-60 in 4.6. I’ve had one M3 and I’ve driven the recent generation on a track, so I do understand the difference; right now I need a less spendy four-season car and it’s a priority for me to keep my license 😬 This car is a hoot to drive on a fun road. Stay away from run-flat tires for better handling and a more compliant ride. If you like sport driving get the track handling package. Changing from Stability Control to Traction Control, chosen by a simple switch, makes it into an incredible snow car. People in two country homes with steep driveways told me, after snowstorms, "You should park down below, you'll never make it up the driveway." Both times I just drove right up. I had to special order the car to get a manual, which makes me worried about manuals continuing to come to the US, but it was worth the wait because it let me get the track package, LED lights and almost everything else. I highly recommend my dealer, Francine at Orange County BMW in Harriman, New York. This is my second car from her, I'm not an easy customer and she is incredibly supportive. Update after 18 months and 20,000 miles Still love the car. The main thing I have to add is I recently got a software update. Make sure you do that! Nowadays everything is in software; steering feel, suspension settings, throttle response... not just making bluetooth more reliable (which it needed, because as I upgraded my iOS and even got a newer phone Bluetooth disconnected more often, rather than less). The most evident change with the software update is the suspension has less compression damping, especially in Comfort mode, which means the ride is more compliant and less harsh, while still feeling firmly planted on the road. Steering seems to be a little lighter, which I prefer. On the whole, it's a terrific improvement. I realize that on bumpy twisties I had been making excuses for the car: "Of course you have to expect some harshness with the track handling package..." and no, it was just tuned too harsh, it's soooo much better now. I had similar marked improvements with a software update to an X3 about 6 years ago. Whatever BMW you have, make sure and ask for a software update when it's a year old!

Amazing fuel economy and performance on 328D
This car was built in Germany and was well built. Can't speak for others built else where around the world. Mine has been trouble free up until now knock on wood with around 34,000 miles on it. I get old changed every 5,000 miles or so. I don't wait for the 10K factor recommends as I find that too long.I swapped out the factory run flats for the new Michelin PS4S Tires and that made a huge difference in sound/noise reduction compared to factory tires. On freeway and city driving the car get great fuel economy. If I baby it on the freeway I can get 550-600 miles out of the tank otherwise 500 is easy out of the tank.What other car can you cruise at 80 MPH and get 40MPG in?

Extremely pleased with this car's road manners. It gathers speed with ease and has a ton of great features standard. The 8 speed transmission is my absolute favorite of the hundreds of cars I've driven!!

Driver's Seat Ruins Experience
I have never had back pain in a driver's seat in the 5 new cars I have had before buying this car. The seat is infinitely adjustable, but i can't get to a comfortable position and it actually causes sciatica pain.The seat does not line up with the steering wheel as a threshold matter which causes the driver to have to twist a bit to face true forward and also feels like it applies uneven support; a mushy seat bottom and hard and shallow seat back. The seat is smaller than in an A4 which may be a contributing factor for the seat discomfort for drivers with wider torsos as the BMW seat just can't comfortably accommodate an athletic build. Since the seat is uncomfortable, other positive aspects of the car kind of go out the window; $47K for a car with a terrible drivers seat?

The BMW M340 is an excellent car
I drove a new 2019 BMW M340 for a couple of days. It is an amazing car. It has very strong acceleration and it handles well. The interior is relatively quiet and it gets excellent fuel economy on the highway. Over the course of 350 mainly highway miles, at an average speed of about 75MPH the car returned 37MPG. One thing I did not like was the lane keeping technology. If the car drifts towards the outside of a lane the car is nudged back into the lane, which is fine. However, if you signal a lane change the nannies do not kick in. I did try to change lanes without signaling and the car reacted in a disconcerting manner. I was able to override the lane keeping software, but not before the car strongly tried to keep the car in my lane. In fact, the car actually felt “sloppy” and disconcerting when I forced the lane change without signaling. This could be problematic in a panic lane change situation. My verdict is that it is a great car. And, as long as you always signal a lane change you’ll be fine with the lane keeping technology.

Love Love Love our car
I love this car! Sleek design! Super comfortable the only thing I would change is there is not a lot of storage space for things like glasses etc. other than that this car is beautiful and the price is affordable for a luxury car
Fun to Drive, Great cruiser
I bought this 2018 330Xi after years ( and more than 400,000 miles) of S60 Volvo ownership. I loved those cars and thought I couldn't find a better sedan. However the 330Xi has been a real joy to own. Unlike others I have found the tyres and seating just fine. In fact the seat is better than the S60 as it is more adjustable and hugs you better. I have made several crowss country trips in this car, driving 1000 miles ( 17+v hours) at a time and feel relaxed at my destination. The headsup display, nav system and sound system along with the seat and responsiveness make for a delightful ride. When up to speed on western interstates I run in ECO and get 37-38 MPG. When in city, or high traffic areas I run in SPORT and get 32 MPG. Ya it takes premium gas but even so it crushes the MPG of the P2 Volvos and deliveries much more. Not sure what other reviewers drove over their life, but the 330 is a much better car then it's similar priced rivals. Bought "Liesl" as a CPO so didn't experience the top end cost of NEW and it was priced equal to or better than competitor sedans at 3 years old.

Got it brand new, White, There is nothing wrong with this car,Good on gas, Fast, Beautiful interior, If you don't like the BMW Family go get a Honda, My next car will be a 5 Series.
