2019 BMW 3 Series video
[MUSIC PLAYING] ALISTAIR WEAVER: There are some vehicles that manufacturers just can't afford to get wrong. For Ford, it's the F-150, for BMW, it's the 3 Series.[MUSIC PLAYING] In the last 40 years, they've sold 50 million examples of it. And this, the seventh generation, will be on sale in the US next year as a 2019, priced from around $40,000. BMW knows better than to mess with a winning formula, so the styling changes are conservative. It's longer, marginally wider, and marginally taller than before, but not so most people would notice. And I can't help but feel that those rear lamps are a bit, well, Lexus-like. Inside, the theme of gentle evolution continues, and the quality generally is very good. [INAUDIBLE] reviews claiming a bit more shoulder room in the front, bit more leg room in the rear. And trunk capacity has also increased. They're debuting something called BMW Intelligent System, which is a bit like Siri for your iPhone or Amazon's Alexa. In theory, you say, hey BMW, I'm feeling a bit cold. SPEAKER: Hello. What can I help you with? ALISTAIR WEAVER: I'm cold. SPEAKER: Please switch on Climate Control first. ALISTAIR WEAVER: Or you could say, hey BMW, please make the YouTube commentators like me. SPEAKER: Hello. What can I help you with? ALISTAIR WEAVER: Yeah. Not happy. The 330i will arrive first, with a two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, developing just over 250 horsepower. And that will soon be followed by the M340i complete with 382 horsepower. Now, BMW says that car will do zero to 60 in just 4.2 seconds. It might be conservative, but this car will still be tough competition for the Mercedes C-class and the Audi A4. [MUSIC PLAYING]

Should I lease or buy a 2019 BMW 3 Series?
Is it better to lease or buy a car? Ask most people and they'll probably tell you that car buying is the way to go. And from a financial perspective, it's true, provided you're willing to make higher monthly payments, pay off the loan in full and keep the car for a few years. Leasing, on the other hand, can be a less expensive option on a month-to-month basis. It's also good if you're someone who likes to drive a new car every three years or so.
