The 2004 S-4 has the best across-the- board torque I have ever experienced. Acceleration is superior even in sixth gear. The shifter is quick and precise, and the exhaust note is thunderous (though not for anyone who thinks a quiet, serene ride is a high priority). Handling is outstanding and ride quality is refined without compromising the tautness and road feel expected from a performance sport sedan.

This Car has it all, Speed, Handling, Style, Comfort, and practicality. I feel it is just a fast as an M3 or a C 32, but runs circles around the other two in every other category. The M3 is too rough around curves and lack the S4's smooth grip and the C32 just stinks in the handling category. That V8 rumble is so much better than the BMW Whine and the style and practicality with the AWD are miles ahead of the other 2.

So much fun to drive. Was looking at this and the M3, but thought 333 horses with rear wheel drive in the snow would be a nightmare. Quattro was the only way to go. Looks great, not obnoxious, but has a noticably sportier look than the A4. The seats are phenomenal and I really like the controls. Was a bit put off by lack of a navigation screen, so skipped the GPS option. Gas milage is atrocious, but all that torque helps you to forget about it. The combo of power and handling makes this the funnest car to drive that I have ever owned.

The S4 is the most fun car I have ever driven The engine is a beast, with power through the entire range. I chose between the S4 and an M3, I've never looked back.

I have been an Audi Lover all my life. I waited a year for this car and well worth it. I was the first to drive the car off the lot and have been getting looks ever since. The car has amazing torque. Handling is unbelievable. Gas mileage is a bit of a burn, yet all it takes is a good release of all 340 horses and you quiclky forget the trip made to the pump. Eat your heart out M3 lovers.
