Great car!
This is once nice automobile. I came from an A4 Avant - and a big difference it is. The sport seats are great as is the sound of the V8. The solar roof is also a great feature to have in the warmer climates. No problems so far and the MMI is pretty easy to master. A much better looking vehicle both inside and out than a BMW 5-series, not to mention a better value for the money.
Quattro 4 ever
I got my 2005 A6 fully loaded in 2009 from a Doctor. Had 30k miles. Drove it fir 7 years and 375k miles w no problems. I mean I went off road, on road, snow, and mud with that car. Was my first love. Had everything. Bluetooth, push to start, keyless entry, dynamic headlights, 4 seat heated, you name it, it had it.

Great Car
Being an ex-Subaru Manufacturing Rep., my experiences with cars go farther than most consumers. With this, I found a car that has blown my socks off. My 2005 Audi A6 4.2 has taken me through rain, snow and ice without a hitch. The cockpit is well thought out, with the instruments slightly tilted toward the driver and the lighting perfect (you can adjust as well). I tested this vehicle against the BMW 545, Mercedes-Benz E500 4matic, Acura RL AWD, and Subaru Turbo Legacy GT. This vehicle outperformed all and in my eyes, shamed all.
Superb Car!
After 115,000 miles in our '98 A4, we drove most of the available all-wheel options and chose the A6. We have been extremely pleased. The car handles beautifully, as if its magnetically connected to the road. The acceleration is strong, yet we get decent mileage (low 20s). The interior is luxurious and very comfortable. MMI allows custom control over virtually every aspect of the car, yet is not so complicated that you feel intimidated. An excellent job!
Total Package
The car is great to drive..lots of power and the interior is flawless. The premium sound system is the best I've experienced in a stock OEM unit. The CD changer is poorly placed in the glove compartmenbt with no in dash CD player. The Tiptronic and sport modes for the trans are fun. The car, however, looks like ten thousand others and is undistinguished. Smooth, quick and elegant. I love getting into it each morning and am sorry to leave it. Power steering is a tad too light and brakes a bit too touchy.
