Bought it in 03. The thing is expensive to repair 1200 for a timing belt??? Also the control arm on mine is going or gone along w/ the tie rod ends and I've heard that it is a problem on the 98's but audi has not officially made it a recall on all 98s...thats another 2k down the drain. The car is very good in the performance area but could use a hp boost seeing how a chipped 1.8T would already out do it in hp.

I own this car for 5 years now. It has the sports package, Bose Audio and 6 CD changer. INterior is leather. The leather held up very well, the only scratches are from my daughter throwing a tantrum in the rear seat with her sandals, using the buckles. The only thing that bothers me is a light rattle when cold over my shoulder. Poblems fixed by a repair: some control arm broke down after 5 years and the transmission was leaking. Otherwise I've been lucky. The car rides comfortably, the engine (30V) is very silky smooth but powerful. It does use some oil (1/2 l every month or so). The quattro AWD was useful for skiing vacation. I never slipped anywhere.

I would have to say that these A4s have a lot of power. Mine is very quick and compfortable.The tiptronic is very fun. The brakes aren't quite as good as BMW but they are alright. OVERALL i would give my A4 a rating of 9. I will keep this car for many wounderful years.

Overall it has been a very pleasant experience, except for dealing with the dealerships. Very difficult to tell if you will receive good or poor experience and it varies between dealerships as well. The car itself has been fine in the snow, and the gas mileage isn't bad for a 4wd car. Great looks and comfortable interior. Wish it had more power though...

I LOVE MY AUDI I HAVE OWNED MY AUDI FOR 2 YEARS AND I LOVE IT AND I CANT SAY SO MUCH GOOD STUFF ABOUT IT IT HAS BEEN A GOOD CAR I READ A LOT OF LETTERS POSTED ON THE INERNET ABOUT PEOPLE HATEING IT ITS THE WAY YOU MAINTIN THE CAR IF YOU DONT TAKE CARE OF IT IT WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF YOU ITS LIKE YOUR TEETH IF YOU TAKE CARE OF IT IT WILL TAKE CARE IF YOU.I PERSONALY DONT SEE MY SLEF DRIVING ANYTHING ELES. IF YOU WANT PERFORMANCE YOU WILL LOVE AUDI IT IS THE CAR TO HAVE TO DRIVE. THERE IS A LOT OF OTHER MAKE AND MODELS OUT THERE YOU CAN CHOISE FROM BUT AUDI STANDS OUT.
