Fast Car

Nice looking fast car. Shopped BMW 325,Infiniti G35 & M35, Toyota Avalon, Lexus IS 250 & Audi A4 & A6. Acura TL is best bang for the buck. My other car is 97 Infiniti I30 & I can feel the difference in acceleration with the TL. No feeling of understeer or oversteer from FWD. Ride is a little crunchy over bumps but the car launches like a rocket at 3000 rpm & good brakes. Had it for ~ 3 mos & no problems & NO RATTLING WHATSOVER.

Not my '94 Honda

Picked up my wife's '06 TL on Saturday, 3/25. Black, camel interior, navi and six speed. The car is a beauty. We broke her in with a 300-mile city (Manhattan), highway (I 95) drive. First impressions: the six-speed is very slick. Brembos work as advertised. Navi is mighty interesting: "GW Bridge Upper Level." Wow. Still, I have to do my homework on this device to really understand its capabilities. Suspension is solid, couldn't detect any torque steer on such a short sample. Quiet cabin, comfortable seats. XM Radio sounds pretty good through the standard hifi. So far, so good.

TL missing something

I purchased this vehicle because of the rating/ review I read on Consumer's Report and other sources. After about ten months now, I can say that--at least in my case--it does not meet my expectations in a number of areas. 1. Annoying vibrations when accelerating; 2. Bad BLIND SPOT on right rear (passenger) side; 3. Keyless entry problems--especially with trunk; 4. Potential electrical problem--ex: windows sometimes open spontaneously; 5. Substantially less MPG than advertised (though, I imagine this is the same problem with many vehicles). 6. Brake Handle not covered properly; allows items to fall into crevice. 7. AC fan automatically sets to MAX when turn on fan, defroster, etc

I have looked at GS300, Benz, BMW 3x, and infinity. Out of all the cars, this car offers the best technology, price, power, and fun to drive.

This is a superb car for the money. It beats german competition hands down when you compare all the features and the price you pay for them. The ride is extremely smooth. Automatic transmission shifts flawlessly and acurately, The sound system is awesome along with interior lighting. It is roomy enough for five adults or two car seats in the back (for those interested). Navigation system is wonderful and easy to use, especially when voice-activated. There is always room for improvement, however. For the life of me I don't understand why the car doesn't have day time running lights (and automatic lights on for that matter). Also, outside mirrors aren't monochromatic.

Just got it and drove it 120 miles from the dealership home. I did a great deal of research before buying. Having owned two Honda Accords I expected better quality and amenities. Got it all in the Acura. I really like the handling, ride and the electronics! This car is a wonderland for a technophile. It is like driving a sports car while is the comfort of a wonderfully equipt personal hideaway. I cannot imagine wanting more. What a bargain and what a great ride. My Black on Black TL will likely sell me on my next one in two years. After compairing Lexus and Infinity the TL was a no brainer for me. So much more for your bucks.

Great Value!

I previously drove a 2002 BMW 330i premium/sport. After owning the car for four years I grew weary of the hard ride and the expensive repairs. Though I do miss rear wheel drive, the TL has been a great car so far. All the electronic features are amazing. Bluetooth, Navi, voice recognition, all work perfectly. The car is considerably more comfortable than the BMW. Good power. Average about 25MPG. No noticeable torque steer which is typical to front-wheel drive cars.

Traded an 02 S60 T5. Turbo lag and no back seat was main reason. TL seems to be a great car for the money. Exceeded my expectations. Handling is great, firm suspension, flat cornering, good acceleration although low end needs more torque. I would recommend the TL over the other cars in this price range. Great value.

I love cars, but I hate when they break. My last BMW spend more time in for service than it did in my garage! This thing isn't quite as fun as a 330i, BUT IT DOES NOT BREAK! Plus, I can't complain about 31 mpg with cruise set at 80 mph! You do have to run premium if you want optimum horsepower and MPG. Go with the manual transmission and dump the stock all season tires and you can't go wrong. Couldn't justify spending two grand on a nav system when I can read maps, so I didn't order that. The upgraded Brembo brakes that come with the manual version are simply amazing, but pedal modulation could be a little easier at the top of tip in. So comfortable on any road, find some twisties and enjoy!
