Fuel Sipper Smackdown 4: Which Car Gets the Best Fuel Economy?


In this fourth installment of the Edmunds.com annual Fuel Sipper Smackdown series, the editors test the Chevrolet Volt, Kia Optima Hybrid, Volkswagen Jetta TDI, Hyundai Elantra and Fiat 500. This isn't a strict comparison test. Rather, we want to see what fuel economy these cars achieve in the real world. How do those mpg results compare to the EPA fuel economy figures?
