The company is backed by the Mexican government and private investors.

The Vuhl 05 is designed to "bring a breath of fresh air to the premium track-day sector," the company said.

No specifications were released. The bodies will be fabricated in Canada with chassis production and final assembly set for Mexico City. The Vuhl 05 is described as "the brainchild of brothers Iker and Guillermo Echeverria," who own Etxe, a Mexican-American design agency.
