- Mercedes-Benz dominated a new U.S. customer satisfaction survey released on Tuesday, followed by Subaru and Lexus.
- Buick was the only domestic brand to rank above the industry average in the American Customer Satisfaction Index.
- Rounding out the bottom of the rankings are Jeep, Dodge, Audi and Acura.
"Imports retain a significant advantage in driver satisfaction," the report said.
The performance of Chevrolet and Buick is noteworthy, given the recent GM recalls. The recalls have had a negative effect on customer satisfaction, the study said.
"Car owners who had at least one recall in the past year rate their vehicle 6 percent lower than those who did not experience a recall," the report noted.
Researchers surveyed 4,360 consumers by telephone and e-mail in the spring. The customers were asked to evaluate their experience with a recent automotive purchase.
