DETROIT — General Motors is recalling 89,126 vehicles in the U.S. in four separate actions, including the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado HD and the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro.

Three of the new recalls involve airbag problems. GM announced on Friday it has recalled 15.9 million vehicles worldwide in 34 recall campaigns in 2014. The automaker said 13.8 million of those vehicles are in the U.S.

The largest recall issued on Friday involves 57,512 2014 Chevrolet Silverado LD, 2014 GMC Sierra LD, 2015 Silverado HD, Tahoe and Suburban and 2015 GMC Sierra HD, Yukon and Yukon XL models.

"The base radio may not work, preventing audible warnings if the key is in the ignition when the driver's door is open," GM said in a statement on Friday. "Nor would there be an audible chime if a front seatbelt is not buckled.

"If they had this condition, the trucks would be out of compliance with motor vehicle safety standards covering theft protection, rollaway protection and occupant crash protection."

GM said it is unaware of any crashes or injuries linked to this recall.

Dealers will reprogram the radio control module.

GM also is recalling 31,520 2012 Buick Verano and Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic cars in the U.S. for a defect in which the shorting bar inside the dual-stage driver's airbag may occasionally contact the airbag terminals. This is an expansion of a previous recall of 7,116 of these vehicles.

"If contact occurs, the airbag warning light will illuminate," GM said. "If the car and terminals are contacting each other in a crash, the airbag will not deploy."

Dealers will replace the steering wheel airbag coil, which will eliminate any contact between the shorting bar and the airbag terminals.

"GM is aware of one crash with an injury where the relevant diagnostic trouble code was found at the time the vehicle was repaired," the automaker said. "The company is aware of other crashes where the airbags did not deploy, but it is not known if they were related to this condition."

There are two other small recalls for airbag problems in GM cars.

GM is recalling 61 2013-'14 Chevrolet Spark and 2013 Buick Encore cars manufactured in Changwon, Korea from December 30, 2012 through May 8, 2013 because the vehicles may have a condition in which the front passenger airbag end cap could separate from the airbag inflator.

"In a crash, this may prevent the passenger airbag from deploying properly," GM said.

The automaker said it is unaware of any crashes or injuries related to this recall. The repair has not been spelled out.

GM also is recalling 33 2014 Chevrolet Corvettes in the U.S. because an internal short-circuit in the sensing and diagnostic module could disable the front airbags, seatbelt pretensioners and the Automatic Occupancy Sensing module.

Dealers will replace the sensing and diagnostic module.

GM said it is unaware of any crashes or injuries linked to this recall.

Owners can contact Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020, Buick at 1-800-521-7300 and GMC at 1-800-462-8782.

Edmunds says: GM said in all of these recalls, customers will receive letters from GM letting them know when they can bring their vehicles into a dealership. Courtesy transportation will be provided as needed, according to GM.
