LOS ANGELES — British video game developer Codemasters has released another trailer for its upcoming racing video game Grid 2.
Grid 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2008 title Race Driver: Grid. Codemasters uses real physics in the game to find a happy medium between difficult simulation-like racing and easier arcade driving.
Gamers gain "fame" experience points that let them access new events, sponsors and cars.
This trailer is narrated by Patrick Callahan, founder of the fictional World Series Racing. He outlines the different styles of driving that will occur on Chicago streets, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and even along the coast of California.
Codemasters collaborated with ESPN to provide live-action SportsCenter video sequences to highlight gamers' rise to the top of World Series Racing.
Grid 2 hits retail shelves on May 28 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Check out the game's official Web site for more details and pre-ordering information.
Edmunds says: The gameplay in this much-anticipated sequel looks like something for gamers to get excited about.
