MANHATTAN, Kansas — A Kansas dealership hopes hundreds of dollars swirling inside a "cash cube" will entice buyers to check out the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 as well as other deals around the showroom.
Briggs Auto Group is hosting a promotion through December 31 in which consumers who purchase a vehicle from one of the auto group's two locations will get to step into the cash cube money machine for up to $1,000 in extra holiday cash.
After signing all agreements, consumers will have 20 seconds inside the cash cube to stuff as much money as they can grab into an apron pocket. Whatever they grab, they take home.
While they've had similar promotions for radio telecasts before, this marks the first time Briggs has used the cash cube for after the sale, Marketing Director Michelle Clark told Edmunds in an e-mail.
"I think it will work and be a great closing tool," Clark said.
Briggs Auto Group operates Buick, GMC, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Kia, Nissan and Subaru showrooms.
Edmunds says: Sounds like a fun way to buy a new car.
