SANTA ANA, California — Callaway Cars is teasing its supercharger package for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray with an image that gives a peek at what is under the hood.
The tuner already has plans to build special GT3 racecar and shooting brake variants of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. This latest teaser shows a rendering of what its blower kit should look like on the C7.
The image shows the hood of the Stingray with the intake manifold exposed and emblazoned with the Callaway logo. "Supercharged" lettering also adorns the side of the black hood cutout. Details are limited, but Reeves Callaway, company founder, provided the rendering and said that the final design is still in development.
Pricing has not been announced.
Buyers can expect Chevrolet Corvette ZR1-like output from the package as well as a tuned ECU, body kit and other mechanical upgrades that are typical of the firm's upgrade packages.
Callaway doesn't only specialize in packages for the Corvette, either. It recently released a supercharger kit for 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra pickup trucks.
Edmunds says: It will be awesome to see how the upgraded, lightweight chassis of the C7 Corvette handles ZR1-like power.
