BMW's Ultimate Driving Experience Puts Consumers Behind the Wheel

WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey The BMW Ultimate Driving Experience, which kicks off this month, will offer consumers an "immersive experience" behind the wheel of over 80 vehicles, including the 2014 BMW 335i sedan and X5 xDrive50i crossover.

The program consists of eight events in seven markets for a total of 74 event days and includes cars from the "BMW i to the BMW M," the automaker said in a statement on Monday.

An unusual component of the program is the Autocross, a two-hour closed-course driving program featuring the BMW 2 Series and 5 Series that pairs attendees with BMW's professional driving instructors.

A Teen Driving School is a free four-hour teen-driving course featuring the BMW X3 and 3 Series. The focus will be on improving driving skills and increasing road awareness.

Street Drives allow for 30-minute test-drives per vehicle of a range of BMW vehicles, including the 2014 BMW 2 Series, 4 Series, 6 Series and electric BMW i3.

The first Ultimate Driving Experience begins June 14-22 in Boston at Gillette Stadium. Other venues include New York/New Jersey at MetLife Stadium, July 13-20; Chicago at Arlington International Racecourse, July 26-August 3; San Francisco at Alameda Point, August 16-24; Los Angeles at Santa Anita Racecourse, September 6-21; New York/Long Island at Citi Field, October 4-12; Miami at Hialeah Park, October 25-November 2 and Houston at NRG Park, November 9-17.
