TORRANCE, California — The redesigned 2014 Toyota Tundra starts at $26,915, including a $995 destination charge, reflecting a $465 price increase over the base 2013 Toyota Tundra. The 2014 Tundra goes on sale in the U.S. in August.

The base 2013 Toyota Tundra 4x2 Regular Cab starts at $26,450, including a $995 destination charge.

Toyota said a number of price adjustments on the extensive 2014 Tundra lineup result in an overall average decrease of $263. Toyota said the Tundra will be offered in a new five-grade strategy consisting of the SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum and new 1794 Edition. The top-of-the-line 2014 Toyota Tundra Platinum Crew Max and 1794 Edition start at $48,315, including shipping.

The 1794 Edition gets a western theme and includes brown premium leather-trimmed seating with embossed leather and ultra-suede accents. The Platinum model features perforated diamond-pleated premium leather seats, door and instrument panel instrument inserts, along with chrome seat and console accent badging.

Toyota says the 2014 Tundra is the only truck in the full-size pickup segment to include a standard back-up camera and Bluetooth on all grades.

The 2014 Tundra undercuts one of its key Japanese competitors, the 2013 Nissan Titan. The 2013 Nissan Titan starts at $30,265, including a $995 destination charge. Nissan has not announced 2014 Titan pricing.

But the base 2014 Ram 1500 undercuts the 2014 Tundra by $1,620. The 2014 Ram 1500 starts at $25,295, including a $1,095 destination charge.

The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado with a double cab and standard box starts at $28,610, including a $995 destination charge.

Edmunds says: The 2014 Toyota Tundra is priced to be competitive in the segment.
