HERNDON, Virginia — The 2013 Audi RS 5 Cabriolet starts at $78,795, including an $895 destination charge, reflecting a $9,000 premium over the 2013 Audi RS 5 Coupe, according to an Audi of America pricing announcement on Wednesday.

The 2013 Audi RS 5 Coupe starts at $69,795, including an $895 destination charge. There is no gas-guzzler tax on the RS 5 Cabriolet.

Ceramic brakes for the front rotors add another $6,000 to the price of the 2013 Audi RS 5 Cabriolet.

The 2013 Audi RS 5 Cabriolet goes on sale here in April.

The RS 5 Cabriolet's chief competitor is the 2013 BMW M6 Convertible, which starts at $116,845, including an $895 destination charge and a $1,300 gas-guzzler tax.
