From Green Welling, LLP: AUDI TT Instrument Cluster Settlement – Court granted approval of a nationwide settlement for Audi TTs (model years 2000 - 2004, and certain 2005 models) alleged to have defective instrument clusters. For those of you that have had problems with your instrument cluster going bad and giving you false readings such as the gas gauge not reading correctly, false codes, etc, you are not alone. I had problems too with my gas gauge not reading properly after I bought a used 2001 Audi TT quatro roadster. I bought it in 2004 with 57,000 miles and less than a year later the gas ... Read More
I purchased my '02 Audi TT in 2005 and it had 12,000 miles on it and all of the maintenance was kept up religiously. I have continued to take it in for its regular service. I go to take it in for service at 65k miles and they want to change the timing belt. They also want to change some other things like the alternater "while they are in there". After ... Read More
I bought my 2001 TT turbo roadster 96,000 miles ago in Ohio. I was "working on the road" for some of that time/miles, so got service in various states/dealerships. In 2005, the EPC warning light came on, along with a grating sound and feel. The local dealer's Audi diagnostic computer said defective YAW sensor, which was changed. Same problem reoccurred in 2006 +/- 13,000 miles later, with the grating/jerking of the ... Read More
I'm looking for a used TT as well in So Cal but Coupe? What dealers are the best to deal with. I'm looking for either a black/black, silver, gunmetal 2004 or 2005 Would they lease these older cars. Contrary to the rest of the crowd, I don't like the new ones that came out.
I live in Iowa and am having the same problem this summer. On really hot days, the windows just go down. I actually sat and watched it happen one day. I shut off the engine and locked the doors and in about 5 minutes, the locks started to click and then the windows just went down. It will also happen if you do not lock the doors. I have a 2001 ... The dealer may not, but i have. I have a 2005 TT roadster and everytime its even the slightest bit damp outside i cant get the drivers side window to "auto up", it stops about half way and rolls back down. After a visit to the dealer to fix that issue(and it was corrected after 2 trips), i noticed that while driving, if i hit a bump or a pothole, the ... Read More
I jumped on the Audi configurator for fun and found this little message after typing in my zip: The 2006 Audi TT models do not meet California emission standards and cannot be sold in California or in those states that have adopted California emission standards, i.e., New York, Massachusetts, Vermont or Maine. TT models from model year 2005 and earlier may be available in these states through our Certified pre-owned program. ... Read More
Here is the information that you are looking for max19. If you were to lease a 2005 Audi TT 1.8T 225 HP coupe through Audi Financial Services right now for 48 months with 15,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value should be a horrendous .00305 and 38%, respectively. As you can see, this is not a very good time to lease this car. You would ... Read More
msrp of 40720 2005 Audi TT 1.8T 225 HP. I will like to know how much is the money factor, and residual for a 48 month lease. If you can throw in a estimated payment will be great. Thanks Car Man
I have a 2005 Quattro Roadster. (had a 2001 for a month - decided to just get new one). I LOVE IT! I might trade it for an SL600, but I will let you know when I have an extra $80,000 to blow on a car.... As far as the 3.2, I have been asking around. (Mostly because I am still partially stuck on the 'there is no replacement for displacement' ... Read More
ywilson1, From what I've been told (from Audi service manager), oil-burning seems to be a common problem with the TT's. My 02 225 TT (40k mi.)burns about 2 qts. about every 7-8k miles. I can see the soot collecting on my tailpipes (starts collecting after only one day). The manual says to change oil every 10k miles but I don't trust it. The dealership handles my TT service and they do ... Read More
I purchased a 2005 audi TT with the 3.2 V6 and DSG s-line. I am having a problem with a clicking sound in the rear wheels. I think the brake shield is rubbing against the trailing arm. Also, their is a loud popping sound coming from underneath the car. The dealer says its the ABS pump and there is nothing they can do about it. Anyone else having problems?
This is an artist's impression- seeing Audi's recent redesigns (A4, A6, A8, Q7), they will be more conservative than this with the TT. He wouldn't tamper with the gorgeous design that much. And, if you want a 2005, you better get one like tomorrow. Hello, it's 2005 right now! Manufacturers already have mostly 2006 cars! The TT will run out fast, and the lots aren't exactly overflowing with them. But, before ... Read More
I just received an email back from Audi and they said that the 2006 TT will be available in late Summer or early Fall 2005, not in 2006. Can someone also confirm this.

Just thought of something. Check to see if your Audi came with a tire cover. I don't think our tires can fit in the trunk so the cover is there so you can put the flat tire in the passenger seat. Where your passenger is supposed to sit is beyond me. Leon
Hmmm, I guess they removed the spare doughnut from the TT's. Mine (02 225 TT) came with a doughnut. It eats up trunk space so maybe that's why they removed it. My advice would be to buy a doughnut from either ebay or some aftermarket Audi site and stick the doughnut in your trunk. You can also buy a tire cover so you can keep your stuff from getting dirty. Oh, ... Read More
hi- just got the 2005 audi TT 3.2 and i love it, but i just learned (the hard way) that the car does not come with a spare tire or a donut. i got a flat a few days ago and had to wait for roadside assistance to tow me (the gash in the tire was too big to use the tire mending kit). i really don't want to be towed ...
