Key Recognition Issue & 55 MPH Displaying
Since day 1, one of the keys is not recognized in the vehicle and continues to prevent the vehicle as "key has been removed", no it has not. Took for service to correct issue 3 separate times, no resolution yet. Apparently it takes Volvo over 7 business days to even document a phone conversation w/their support team - and no follow up thereafter other than an automated email suggesting they'll get back to me. Why buy new cars if they belong in Service 3x in less than 1 year.

Early days, but seems like a great car.
Have not had it long, but we love the XC90. Roomy, comfortable, and surprisingly fast even when driving just on the battery. We bought the 2024 'Ultimate' trim -- including the fine crystal shifter that looks just like cast acrylic -- but without the air suspension and B&W sound system. The air suspension made the ride feel a bit mushy and standard Harmon Kardon sound system is plenty good. The only slightly unpleasant surprise was learning that it's limited to rear wheel drive when in pure electric mode. We'll see how that works on our snowy streets. But, for now, we're happy with our XC90 Recharge.

Where has all the safety gone?????
I purchased a 2024 XC90 Ultimate recharge plug in in March when my 2019 XC90 Inscription was totaled when a deer ran in front of us on a highway in Pennsylvania and we emerged without a scratch and whiplash. My new car has had nothing but problems with the electronics!!!! It has been in the shop for software update and now is in the shop for 2 weeks because 5 different notices of failure came up on the dashboard. I have learned that the front mitigation system only activates at 37 mph and does not have a setting. A bicyclist crossed in front of me when I was making a 3 point turn and the car didn't make a sound. Someone would be killed at 37mph. My previous car had a setting for distance and speed and it saved many a fender bender. The rear break causes the car to come to a stop when backing up with a bike rack and can cause whiplash. The service department tells me they need Volvo central to remotely advise. I am without my new car for two weeks. I am a 5 time Volvo owner and this is unacceptable. I opened a case with Volvo as I feel like I have a lemon. The car drives like a dream but these problems make me concerned about the technology, future costs and the reliability of the safety that Volvo is known for.

Not worth the big price tag.
Seats are way too narrow, they cut corners for sure. The ride is ok but choppy on rougher roads, the engine did not sound super smooth as it should for a small turbo. The reliability looks to be average to below average, they need to step it up and get with the program. The safety is good, but many are good now, not just Volvo. Shop around.

Infotainment regression
Went from a 2020 XC90 to a 2023 XC90. Handling and acceleration is better but entertainment system is back to the 90's. No Android Auto, only Aople Play. WHY? Main display only shiw speedometer, tachometer and Google Maps in the middle. There are no other options. I hate Google maps, I want WAZE in the middle but because there is no Android Auto, I can't have it. The needs to be a major software update to address these shortcomings in a luxury SUV.
