Used 2020 Volvo XC90 Consumer Reviews
Not your fathers Volvo
Since owned by Chinese, the Volvo has been cheapened to get quality down and profits up. The XC-90 does not have the safety and quality assets as the earlier years under FORD. Heard in 2022, all of the XC-90's will be assembled in South Carolina. We are planning to replace our 2020 in 2022 with a better alternative option.

Heavy frequent maintenance ownership cost
Since last review posted more issues have occurred AC has now gone out a 3rd time in less then a year and a half. Now fuel valve gone in need of service and start/stop battery, all while car was under pre owned certified DVD none of these issues were caught or covered. This vehicle has been maintenance hell. I work in Auto for Rivian and these XC90 are traded in daily with same complaints and that the UI system goes in and out which I can vouch for for its apple play. Lastly bought the Volvo June 2023 for $38,000 and prefer day value with no car wrecks or damage the xc90 is worth $14k by all trade in components. Carvana. Carmax so cannot even get rid of vehicle stuck with its over $10k in repairs and going. STAY away ——- I’ve owned my 2020 Volvo xc90 now 7 months, the appeal of design is why I jumped on board coming from Lexus and Acura SUV’s mainly. The xc90 has been a lemon since date of purchase. Being only 4 yrs old the entire AC system crashed costing $3800 in repairs. Bearings unhinged. Oil leak. Faulty informant system Apple play does not connect 50% of the time. This was a pre-owned certified suv so not sure how all these flaws slipped the multi point inspections. To date in 7 months over $6500 has been spent to fix these repairs. What has cost my then previous suvs I’ve owned in their lifetimes with me of 3+ years. I would not recommend this SUV. Look into Acura MDX or Lexus GX, these are very dependable and backed by amazing engineering and service.

BUYERS BE AWARE
DO NOT BUY VOLVO I am a owner of 2020 XC 90 V8 INSCRIPTION MODEL. Last year there was a coolant leak in my car. I took the car in for repairs; the repairs were over $2000 for a brand new car. The coating of tubes are made of soy products ........ATTRACTED TO RODENTS. Once again, my car had the same issue. It went to the dealership........AGAIN FOR THE SAME REASON. I have filed a complaint with Volvo USA. Waiting for action. If I were given a choice to buy a new car, I would definitely go back to LEXUS. DO NOT BUY VOLVO

A notch up in class
We looked at a number of vehicles when we traded in our Lexus to get a third-row SUV. The Lexus L was too tiny in the back, and the Infinity was a bit boring. This vehicle felt like a step up in the overall look and feel. From beautiful leather to a full range of options, this vehicle just felt good!
