Used 2021 Volvo XC60 T8 Polestar Engineered Consumer Reviews
dream car
It had been 6 years since my last Volvo. I moved to the midwest in an XC60 but the lease ended and the nearest dealer was over 100 miles away. Recently retired, I now have extra time to travel for service. Volvo makes the most comfortable car seats of any model in this price range. The safety features are amazing. The electronics are intuitive and easy to navigate. We got the T8 hybrid and charging is simply and straightforward. We drove home in a snowstorm and the cars handles exceedlingly well on slick roads. It's everything that I wanted and more

The most unique vehicle in the class
The Polestar trim gives 415 HP and 494lb ft of torque while delivering 25-30 mpg? Drivers can charge battery while driving or hold the charge. I've never sat in a vehicle this regal with the best sound system anywhere. Sporty enough with emphasis on safety. The 22" wheels make it even funkier.

Bower & Wilkins stereo upgrade issues
My XC60 T8 Inscription Hybrid is mostly great. Significant issue with the Bower & Wilkins stereo upgrade. I've taken it into Volvo dealership 4 times. I demonstrated mid-range bass causes the vibration coming from the speaker cover and door panel and they won't fix it. The $3,200 stereo upgrade was to listen to music at a higher fidelity, seems obvious. They tell me it's my iPhone or I'm playing the music too loud. With no adjustment to my iPhone or the stereo equalizer, and at around 50-60% volume, it happens on 2 out of 3 songs. I play it and they hear it and agree. They then try to reproduce it for someone else using a low fidelity radio signal and are unable to, then tell me there's nothing to do. I'd rather have my $3,200 back and the base stereo system so I don't recommend the upgrade.

Edmunds slipped up a bit on this review
Polestar or Inscription trim are best. AKEBONO brakes on Polestar, not Brembo! Brakes are best in class. It's like a luxury yacht. Electric silent like an EV upon leaving the parking lot or driveway. Real world fuel economy is around 24-25 mpg. Volvo missed an opportunity to really finish this fit with better linear acceleration/transmission and both heated and cooled seats. Summer tires => ventilated seats. The rest is an absolute master class in safety.
