Needs a little design rework

It's not a bad little car, we call it our "road rat", I use it as a commuter car mainly on the highway. I've expressed concerns with the steering wheel not being straight while going down a straight road, about it pulling and having to hold pressure on the steering wheel to keep it going straight, Toyota says the car is fine. I don't agree, I don't want to exercise the entire time I'm in the car driving. It wears out the edge of the left tire, it took a while, but both front and rear exhibit the same problem, due to tire rotations. New tires and alignment indicate the rear Toe is out of spec, but it's not adjustable. The engine is noisy when your trying to speed up, it roars, so strange.

Rattle, rattle, bang, bang

Visibility from inside the car is very poor. The backup camera is useless a far as telling you how far away from an object you are. If there's an elephant behind you, you'll be able to see it but not know how far away it is--until you hit it. The long sloping windshield pushes the dash out so far it's hard to see over it making it impossible to know where the front of your car ends and the car you're trying to park next to begins. Same goes for the rear window. Everything rattles. If you prefer a car with a lockable trunk, don't buy a Prius where everything that should be in the trunk is in the car with you. We owned a 2002 Prius for almost 10 years before buying the current 2012 model. It was quieter, more maneuverable, and more like a real car. The gas mileage on the 2012 model is better, but that doesn't make up for the other shortcomings of the 2012.

Love this easy to operate I drive mostly with cruise control and i am getting 55+ mpg only had the car for a month and have already saved $350 in gas over my old van.I will continue to put the difference in gas savings in a saving account for a year to see what the total saving areand subtract them from my sales price including tags and taxes which was $ 22,245 a think was a great buy.

Traded my Jeep Wrangler for this Prius about 18 months ago...it is unbelievable how practical, reliable, and inexpensive this car is. Outstanding gas mileage, almost no maintenance, and much more space then one would think.

I loved our Prius, we got it from our son. He was driving some distance for work and needed the mileage (50 mpg on highway). He changed jobs no longer needed. We bought for a running around vehicle. We’d had it a month and found when my husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor. We used the car for numerous trips for Drs and treatments. It was the perfect car- mileage at times was 52 mpg and comfortable. Very reliable. My husband has since passed and I moved up to a bigger SUV, grandkids and their friends are now in my life and I needed space. I sure miss that gas mileage.
