Approximately 8000 miles into it, and I still like to drive it. It is quiet and smooth running, enough power to keep out of the way of the SUVs and trucks. I have the GPS and keyless entry. I like the GPS, but the keyless entry is iffy. Mileage is about 75% of advertised, 45 mpg in summer, 42 in winter, with mixed driving. Does have a problem with stiff breezes (notice I didn't say gale force winds)and the rear window isn't easy to see through with the bar going across the lower half. The windshield wipers are childlike and cute. Cruise control awkward. Dash lighting poor. Cup holders don't work with coffee cups or mugs, just fits fast food drink cups. Wiper controls in poor location.

We love our Prius - great hauling capacity with hatch and flip-down rear seats. We are especially glad that we own it since gas is now over $4 a gallon.

Overall we like the Prius, buy it does not get the gas mileage promised. It is comfortable. It has reasonable pick up for a 4 cyl. It left us stranded on the freeway only 4 months after we bought it. The dealer didn't have the necessary equipment to find out the problem, so we were without it for 4 days. Seems it was a computer problem. The car "thought" the battery was discharged, but it wasn't.

I own two of these cars. One has performed well with no problem and gets 50 mpg or better. The other has had the software glitch causing the car to shut off the gasoline engine, plus it only gets around 43-45 mpg at best. Oh yes, one more thing, if you plan on sitting in this car for more than 45 minutes you will need a seat cushion to sit on as these are the worst seats I have ever had in a car. The car is also hard to keep on the road in any kind of side wind.
