I bought the base model 10 year ago. It's a 2011 matrix hatchback 4 speed manual with a 1.8 engine. It has no rust and is in excellent shape. I've had no trouble with this car other than brakes. The seats fold down flat and is as roomy as most SUVs. This is a great cheap car and can last for years yet. I highly recommend this car!

Have driven over 2500 miles, and averaged between 29-32 mpg. Relatively quiet ride under 70 mph. Very roomy interior with comfortable front and rear seats with good visibility. Easy for older people to enter both the front and rear seating area. Plenty of cargo space and with the rear seats folded flat to the floor, will accommodate large objects. The basic 1.8 engine has enough power up hills and passing on highways along with better fuel economy.

As they are no longer produced they are a good used car value. My gas consumption is awesome and I really like taking this cutie out for drives! This is my 3rd Corolla model and 2nd manual tranny. I love Corollas and was sorry they discontinued the Matrix as the car gets lots of comments about it's cuteness. I bought it in 2009 and have 75000 miles on it and intend to get another 75000 if possible !!

2010 Toyota Matrix S 4dr Hatchback AWD (2.4L 4cyl 4A)

The car has great steering and maneuverability. I have fully enjoyed owning this vehicle. It is roomy enough for my 6'4" partner yet fits into lots of small spaces. Good on gas mileage and has AWD. Roomy hatchback which holds long items like full size drain spout.
