Bought an 03 HighlanderV6.Replacing my loaded Mountaineer lease,I knew Id sacrifice some bells & whistles,but wanted a smaller SUV. Toyota makes a great safe car,I thought it was a no-brainer. Well,BUYER BEWARE!Dont drive over 38mph with the back window down or youll feel like your ears will explode.Worse than a plane.If this wouldn't bother you, then I'd say its a nice choice.However,if you care about your kids or backseat passangers ears,I BEG YOU TO SEARCH FOR SOMETHING ELSE,or at the least make sure it comes w/a sunroof to slightly alleviate it. With the great ratings&reviews I thought Id be thrilled, but you live & learn. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!

We are very satisfied with the Highlander. The customer's reviews on Edmunds were very valuable. The issue concerning thumping wind noise when either single or both windows open was true. Maybe they designed it this way to discourage passengers from opening the rear windows when the vehicle is moving. Also the radio on the model that we purchased didn't have the best sound, another point that one of the customers mentioned. The ride, power, gas mileage and build in this vehicle are best in the market.

Man, what a truck !! This is the best vehicle I have ever driven. Beats all those SUVs out there - ride, handling, comfort, performance. Minus the infamous 'rear-window-open' problem and the average music system, this vehicle is the best ! With JD Power's 'most appealing mid-size SUV' award, the highlander adds another feather to it's cap.

Best SUV have ever been it. It really drives and feels like a car. Excellent handling on secondary and major highways. Super quiet. Lots of interior room. Excellent power, even with 4 cylinders, great gas mileage. Beats most cars in mileage. I can't believe people buy other SUV's for more money!
