Used 2002 Toyota Camry Consumer Reviews
paint chips
In addition to many minor problems that were fixed by the dealer (fuel pump, loose shield under car) this car has so many paint chips and flakes that the paint job must be defective.
Reliable, Comfortable and Roomy Sedan
This is American made Lexus 300. I saved $10,000.

Love the car
Love this car. Fun to ride in and nice looking. Just needs a light under the phone charger to see at night. Nice sound system. And service is great from Toyota. Good choice for long term car.
First Year Blues?
I have had problems with the transmission not shifting into overdrive when the temp gets below 32 degrees. Dealer says it's "NORMAL"). Also the front passengers inside door handle broke in half!(It was fixed under warranty).
Best overall vehicles you can buy
Handling is awesome compared to non-SE Camry. Great JBL 6 disc changer..could get a little louder. Smooth, quiet, comfy, roomy, reliable car. V6 perfect for this car. Reliable..my third Camry, second with V6..never get a 4cyl again in Camry. Had 3 Corollas as well..not big enough but GREAT cars. Camry has plenty of room for people and stuff. Got power heated leather seats (pass seat not power); moonroof; VSC; traction control; curtain air bags; sunshade/cargo net; 16inch alloy wheels all for $26K. Got 45K miles and no problems except original brake design was defective; dealer replaced twice at no cost and NO problems since.
Like the car
I like the car very much. Review needs 15 words but my first 6 say it all.
I've had enough
Aside from a few expensive annoyances, the SE was fun to drive. Toyota makes a great family car with the sporty look, but it needed some tweaking. Based on prior Camry ownership, I'm disappointed in the '02 SE. Major repairs on this car were a bit more frequent than I expected from a Toyota. Maybe the new '07 comes with better results. I may give Toyota another try.
True Quality
I have driven this car for over a year and I am very glad and happy with the vehicle i bought. the car has been driven for 30,000 miles and has not shown any problems other then a few rattles here and there but my dealer has repaired everything to top notch quality with no hassle. I highly recommend this vehicle it will defintly last forever.
Camry, great commuter, not much else
Great commuter, but not much else. Surprised and disappointed at the blue book value of the car. Lower resale value than our older civic with manual Windows.

Never buy another Toyota
This car sucks, Gives me trouble from day one. I would have rather prefered an american car with lots of incentives.
