What a wonderful car! I bought a 99' SLE with 60K and in 2 years i have had no problems, it now has 140K and the only thing i have done is change the oil every 3k and the brakes once. I didnt even bother with the timing belt. No problems!!! The check engine light is on and its because of the back oxygen sensor heater, there are like 6 banks and one is bad, but the thing is i probably get better gas mileage because of it. Any how its a wonderful car! Toyota ROCKS!

I absolutely love my car. I've had no mechanical problems thus far and have driven it hard on business trips. The only complaint I have is that the tires are very very expensive and I wore out my first set quicker then I expected, but that's life right! I highly recommend buying this car used b/c the depreciation on it sucks. I also have a stick shift which I hear is hard to come by in the v6. One more thing.. my old colleage races his Solara against Porsces, BMW's etc and it performs good (of course not better then the fancy cars but it holds it own)

I bought my car new and have put 132,000 miles on it. It has been a great car. This car is very reliable with very good gas mileage, ave 28-29 mpg (driving combo of 1/3 city and 2/3 freeway).
