Used 1999 Toyota Camry Solara Consumer Reviews
I think the front struts need a recall
Everything has been great with this car except for the front struts that I have had to bring in to be serviced. That cost over $300. It is obviously a common problem and should be recalled and fixed by Toyota at no cost to the car owners.
NICE RIDE
I have had great success with my 1999 Toyota Solara SLE. I change the oil every 3500 miles and I only deal with Toyota for servicing my vehicle. The car is a dream to drive and it looks sharp too! I have leather power seats, moon roof, side air bags, nice cd player and an excellent resale value on it. Very nice car

This is a HOT Car
I just got this car from my father who loved the car so much he purchased a new 2002 solara so i could take the older one. I love the car...learned to drive on this car and now at 18, i love having it to myself. The look is great and the sunroof is definitely a must have. Only problems with the engine came after an accident and were not because of the car's reliabilty. I put a new 2001 solara angine in it and now i REALLY moves. Only other problem is that the ac went during one of NY heat waves in March and now i need to replace it. Overall...A GrEaT CaR!!
Toyota does it again
What a wonderful car! I bought a 99' SLE with 60K and in 2 years i have had no problems, it now has 140K and the only thing i have done is change the oil every 3k and the brakes once. I didnt even bother with the timing belt. No problems!!! The check engine light is on and its because of the back oxygen sensor heater, there are like 6 banks and one is bad, but the thing is i probably get better gas mileage because of it. Any how its a wonderful car! Toyota ROCKS!

Love it! Fun to drive. Lots of get up and go and feel safe in it.
