We purchased the All wheel drive extended battery model with standard wheels. This is the best car I have ever owned. I have no complaints about this car. Driving is precise and regen breaking is very good. Mileage calculation is accurate and we have not seen a significant drop off in mileage due to cold weather. Update 1/22/22: It has been 3years and car has only needed annual maintenance. No large bills and most the time Tesla came to the house to perform annual maintenance. Update, 7/16/2019: Best car I have ever driven. Dependable and the more I know about this car the more impressed I am. You definitely need to study the manual to really understand the car and it’s features. Updated 1/20/20: Still impressed. Waiting for my upgraded computer to be installed for full self driving. Updated computer installed. Self driving feature is still finicky and will not work in all conditions. The autopilot is excellent. Just traded my Model 3 in for a Model Y. Looked at all other manufacturers and even though I dislike Elon Musk, the Model Y was the best value for money.

My goal was to drive a more environmental friendly vehicle. Also, I wanted a vehicle that has a better driving record than mine. It has met all my expectations and then some! It was definitely worth the wait. It is an extremely safe car and fun to drive.

I have owned some cool cars over the years including other electric cars and this one is a quantum leap forward! Super quiet, performance, and a lot of technology. I thought only having the Center touch screen would bother me but it makes for clear forward visibility and the controls don’t take too long to get used to. You do have to watch for some minor build issues in the 2018 model year. On our car the trunk lift rubs slightly against the rubber seal on the one side. For the most part the central tablet is quite intuitive. I did have trouble finding the fog lights the first time. Voice commands can be used for a number of functions if you want to keep both hands on the wheel. It has been a better winter car than I thought it would be. Seems to lose less range in the winter than our other electric car. The supercharger network has been a fantastic experience.

The Tesla Model 3 is, without a doubt, the ideal vehicle. Luxurious, fast, beautiful, unbelievable resale value, and practically maintenance-free.
