Used 2010 Subaru Outback Consumer Reviews
So far so good
I have had my OB since March 09 and so far it's been great. Took a road trip to Sedona and averaged over 30 MPG. The 2011 has the folding mirrors which would be nice and the fuel efficiency gauge has got to go. My only real complaints have been that it idles very high in the morning and on cold starts and the passenger side airbag sometimes does not show activated when a 120 lb woman is sitting in the seat.
Bought it and Waiting...
I saw the new Outback, and was lucky enough to have driven it. I immediately ordered one. It is a HUGE improvement over my 2007! The car feels much roomier, and the seats are infinitely more comfortable. I was amazed at how much power the CVT has with the 2.5 engine. And the fuel economy seems perfect for a car of its size. The 2005 change was big, but this new version is huge: I would imagine they'll be very hard to get at first, since it's a great boost for the brand!

3000 miles and still liking it
Wife and I returned to Subaru after we decided to replace our 01 Legacy GT Sedan. The OB 2.5i with CVT does a very nice job regarding comfort ability and mileage. Regarding handling? If I compare it to our old land cruiser its fantastic! If I compare the handling to our old Legacy GT its terrible. The OB is a very good handling SUV and a very marginal handling car as to be expected with the SUV ride height and ability. Rear seat is king when it comes to big kids car seats and comfort etc. The CVT took some getting use to but it does a fantastic job keeping to the power band. Subaru needs to build a turbo and non turbo Legacy GT wagon! Not everyone will find the SUV/Car performance likable.
A different Subaru wagon
I test drove the Ltd w/ 4 cyl. I was impressed w/ the new look, the pick up, the extra leg room on the 2nd row. However, I had an issue w/ the headrest. It pushes my head forward and gives me an uncomfortable feeling. I was told that once the seat was adjusted correctly, the headrest issue would go away. Overall, I like the car a lot, just hope that Subaru would have a better financing program and/or rebate and/or dealer incentive.
Happy with new Suburu
Had to order the car, since we wanted the 6 speed manual, so far, it was worth the wait. Price was very good, for this much vehicle. So far, I am very happy.
