Used 1993 Subaru Impreza Consumer Reviews
Awesome first car
I bought this car after having a WRX wagon in GT2 and killing everything. The handling is like the videogames. It has been a truck for me and done everything needed of it without complaining. I've replaced the water pump, CV joints, timing belt, and other than that at about 150-155k, it's run like a dream. It's my little rally car. I'm not going to sell it ever. When I need more power, I'll mod it.
A real workhorse
After ten years of serious use, this car is still on the road, requiring little maintenance and running almost like new.
Excellent, reliable car
The Subaru Impreza will last forever if you want it too. Especially if you take care of it. I did not take good care of mine and I still drove it over 150K before the head gasket blew. There was never any major problems with anything on this car. The only thing that wasn't that great was the radio/speakers. 2 of the 4 speakers broke and the radio sometimes didnt work, but that is not a major problem for a great car.
Takes a licking, keeps on ticking
I love this car so much! Last year it flooded where I live and my car was filled with water up over the seats. I just knew this was the end. After the water drained and I let it sit for about a week after, it started right up and I only had to have my fluids changed. My son and husband had to have major work done to their later model cars. I have well over 200,000 miles on my car I'm sure but the gauge stopped working about 2 yrs ago. I'll keep it until it stops for good.
Great Car
Even though i have the FWD version, the car still has alot of traction and is very fun to drive. I've put many many miles on this car, totalling about 120K miles...that's on top of the original 45K miles! Subaru parts are very interchangable between models. I upgraded to WRX wheels/tires and it looks and handles great.
