The Best Car I Have Ever Owned

I have had this car for almost two years and have put 47,000 miles on it thus far with no problems. The xA is very good on gas even though I have a heavy foot at times. I would definitely purchase another one.

I love my car! Its nice to have a compact car that sits higher and not on the floor. It handles nicely, has good gas mileage, and is cute too! The one and only thing I dont like is that somehow the way the gas tank is designed, causes the gas pump to kick off when fueling up. So, you have to manually fuel up at times.

I Love my Scion xA

I've only had my Scion xA for a couple of months, but I love it! The xA has a nice, smooth ride and it handles great in bad weather! I have yet to see any other Scions on the road in my area. Lots of people mistake in for a Mini Cooper, but I'm quick to tell them that its a Toyota made car. In comparison to other cars, the xA is much better than the Ford Focus (we have one of those too) and the new Chevy Aveo. It comes standard with TONS of features like Pioneer CD/MP3 player, power everything, remote keyless entry, etc. I even had a sun/moonroof installed! Not too shabby for a lil car! I love this car and hope others will enjoy driving it as much as I do.

I enjoy the car very much, the interior is more spacious than it looks, and people who have never heard of the car think that it is an expensive car when it really isn't. The only downside is the performance aspect of it, face it, you won't be speeding down the highway with one of these bad boys unless you tie a jet engine to the roof. But overall, for someone who wants a car that looks nice and is inexpensive, the scion is the way to go.

Feels like a bigger car

I've been driving the xA for two weeks now. It's a small car that feels like bigger car. The room inside, plus the height of the seats makes you feel like you're driving something bigger than most other cars on the road. Yet, you can squeeze into those small spots and save tons of money on gas. The performance has been good and consistent. The controls are good except for those of the stereo (which sounds great). I've driven it both in the city and on the highway and the performance is very good. It responds very well. I got used to the speedometer location very quickly and honestly prefer it over it being behind the steering wheel.

Chose the Scion for the value. Love all the standard features, good gas mileage for the low price. Scion has plenty of power for a commuter car, find myself zipping at 75 mph without realizing it. Only negatives are the high back seats block the rear view and the speedometer could be a little larger.

Bought this car because my 99 Civic LX was totaled in an accident. In the mean time I had to drive various other rental cars, including the Mazda Protege and Toyota Prius. However, I found that when I was behind the wheel of the xa, it was the most comfort driving I felt after my accident. The car has equivalent amount of power as the Civic and the interior seating is comfortable. There's not much acceleration speed but that's not my primary consideration for the quality of a vehicle anyway. It is better deal than a Civic LX because it is cheaper and comes with ABS brakes. I can also definitely say that it feels way nicer than a Protege.

It is realy fun to drive in the city. You feel comfort in it. First time I took my X-A from Orange County to Ventura county ( Simi Valley ) about 70 Miles one way I found ride on freeways it is not as comfotable as in city you feel even small bumps or uneven roads on the freeways. Also suddenly brake at the speed of abve 60 mph can shfit the car left or right hand. Must be carefull. Have fun and ejoy it.

My Scion xA is Great! It came with all toeh features of more expensive cars, and size wise it's easy to find parking in San Francsico. It's a little jitteryg when hitting potholes or rough roads, but otherwise rides well. I've had a reocurring problem with the passenger side rear speaker, and the dealership seems either unwilling or unable to correct the problem. Also, I have developed a rattle in the rear cargo cover that will not go away. Otherwise, a well put together car with many options that I'll be adding over the next few months.

After doing on-line reviews of small cars with standard features I kept finding that the Scion xA was the best car overall. I ordered the car, without test driving it, and when it came in and drove it I found it was more than I ever expected. I have a 1999 5 speed Corvette (summer car) and wanted a reliable, fun to drive winter car and man I've found it! Its practical, great to drive, great to look at and have already have recommended it to two friends who are definately going to purchase it. The fit and finish of the car is top notch and I was shocked at the power this small 4 cylinder has. For the price and standard features it can't be beaten.

I loved the no haggle pricing. And, because it's a Toyota, it's gonna last. It is also stylish, and looks like more expensive than it actually is. The car is fun to drive in the city, and is fine on the freeway. Yes, it's a bit noisy at 75 mph, and passing takes a little extra time with the auto, but remember, it's a sub-compact, under 14k. I bought this car because, I am single, live in the city, and have a short commute. It seats 4 people fine, but usually, I keep the rear seats down to add to the total cargo capacity. Great gas mileage of course. Everyone other person has a Corolla, and I chose a Scion XA instead.

This is a great compact car. There are many features that I really Like: 1. Interior looks nice, not cheap and squeaky. 2. I've noticed that my eyes don't get "bothered" while driving at night for a long distance. 3. The only thing I paid extra for was nice rims, power steering, and side/curtain airbags. Total of 15,400. 4. Vehicle comes with an excellent CD player (plays MP3 as well), power doors and windows, AC, etc. 5. Cargo area is actually great. When the seats are up the smaller area is still perfect for grocery shopping. 6. This car has plenty of power. I constantly find myself speeding without even trying.

The car looks super cute and the size is easy for new driver to handle. I am a new driver. It saves gas, it saves u money and it looks great. The car gives u more flexibility since the seats at the back can be pulled down easily so u can buy as much groceries as u wanna to. Little effort is needed if u want to accelerate your car. U'll love this car if u live in San Francisco since the parking space is so scared in the city -_-; I love this car and all of my friends love my car too....What are u waiting for??? If u need more room in the car...check out XB! I feel great when i test drive that car since the interior is brighter than XA and it is more roomy.

I've had my Scion XA fora little over a week and love it. I traded in my Acura TL. that should tell you right there, I prefer the simple pleasure of the Scion over the luxury of my old Acura. I love the size, outside and in, the gas mileage it gets, as well as the overall standard features I got for the price. Don't waste your time looking for cars, Scion is all you need.

The scion xa is a great car, made for the younger generation. the look of the car isn't like anything else out there. It looks small from the outside, but really it is a very roomy car. I have had no problems with the xa at all! the best thing about the car is the pricing. this is my first car purchase on my own. the pricing is reasonable and the payments are low even without having any credit history!

I went to the dealer looking for an ECHO and came away with a SCION. The SCION is based on the ECHO (which I hear is being discontinued), but is so much better looking. Add to this all the standard options you get that you would have to pay for with the ECHO and the SCION is by far the better deal.

I've had this car for little over 2 months and I love it. It's my first car and I've been learning how to drive with it so I can commute to work (90 miles daily). So far the only problems I've had are the brakes squeaking occasionally and the light/flying feeling I get when I'm on the highway (going 65mph)! It definately needs more power because it's hard to go uphill-but other than that it's a great first car, easy to park, and fun to drive. I get quite a few people looking at it and asking me what it is! I had to take the backseat headrests out because it was blocking my view-but since I don't ever sit in the back, it's fine with me!

We've only had this car for a few weeks, but have totally enjoyed it. Even though the sticker (and the dealer) said we'd only get 31-36mpg we've found that using 89 octane instead of 87, and driving sensibly have gotten us an average of 38-43 mpg. The car is fun! It is packed with lots of nice standard features and the RS 1.0 version adds a nice "moon roof", cool wheels, and much more agile handling than the standar Scion xA. I with that it came with cruise control though. We've added the cold air induction system and gotten a lot better acceleraton with no apparent negative effect on gas mileage. There aren't many Scions around here so no one seems to know what it is. It's easy to find in a parking lot full of look alikes.

The "as is" pricing policy was such a pleasant experience compared to most dealers I visited. As a long-time Toyota owner, I jumped at the Scion, an off-shoot of Toyota. I first had seen the Scion's xB back in 2003, a bit boxy, but cool. Great price and fuel efficiency. When it came time to buy, I opted for the aX, the bX seemed a bit pimped-out for a 47-year-old. The cX was a bit pricey for my wallet. I'm happy with the xA. Put 3000 miles on it in the first 21 days...The only luxury I demanded with it was dealer addition of cruise control. Five-speed is sweet. A great little car for the 21st century. The price tag was good, just over $14,000 with the cruise, the ride's good, it turns heads and is great so far in my book.

As far as reactions from people, I get about 50/50 - Half of the people saying "aww, how cute" and the other half think the xA is ugly. But I'm proud of my little xA, I think it's cute, fits into parking places easily, good on gas, and has nice features (the interior lighting, etc) I have fun driving it knowing that their aren't many on the road yet, and when I do see fellow scion owners, they usually wave at me =) It's a great car so far, and I've had no problems with it yet. Suprisingly, Having the speedometer and everything all in the middle is convenient. I love mine, and after having it 4 months, I can't imagine driving anything else :)

I bought this car because I needed something I could drive and not pay a fortune for gas. I have two kids and its been a great car. My son is now 5 and starting to outgrow the backseat. You definitely don't have enough leg room for a tall person driving and a person in the back seat. Other than that I have had no problems at all with it.

Loved the no pressure sale. This is the way all car purchases should be. At only 100hp I expected lousy performance, but with such low weight, it zips! 60-80mph on the freeway with no problems. Seudo Recarro seats sit nice front and back. It took about 30minutes to get used to those center guages. Now my other cars seem weird.

The Scion XA is a fun, reliable car with great fuel economy and versatility (i.e. transporting five passengers or putting the seats down and taking dogs and gear to the beach.) Great for long trips, always comfortable, and always good for drawing just the right amount of attention from passersby. "What kind of car is that?" I've never seen one before. It has also really retained it's value very well, despite the high mileage I put on it! Well done, Scion XA (aka MiniCooper on steroids)!

I drove away with it 3HOURS later and I love it! People have actually stopped me at red lights to ask me what kind of car it was and to tell me how much they like it. I love this little car. It is fun, zippy, handles well, and is just plain cute. The price is so perfect for everything the car has. The only surprising thing about the car is the cost of tires for such a small one. I know for the price I cannot complain about the fabric quality on the seats. The stereo system is good and the car actually does have quite a bit of room when you need to load the car down. Being an adult and more experienced driver, and living in a big city, I don't mind the highway driving and it is not intimidating. For my youngest driver, I really hesitate to let her drive the interstates. All in all, I do love the car for what I use it for.

It has been three and a half years since we got our xA and we have been very pleased. We have had no problems with the car; haven't had anything fixed yet. We still get >30mpg, even with city driving. The car is great for the city: easy to zip around and park in tight spaces. It still looks great outside and inside, although the audio controls are not very good. It is a capable vehicle for the highway, but you will feel when tractor trailers pass you. While it looks small it has a lot of room inside and is very flexible. You wouldn't believe the amount of stuff you can fit in.

My 2004 Scion xA (5-spd stick) now has 85,000 miles. Last month I drove it cross-country from CA to NY (via I-80 all the way). I have not had any problem with the car although I once had a flat tire. Great gas mileage and the car is inexpensive compared to any hybrid.

Best bang for your buck. If the standard stereo isn't good enough for you your crazy. More than ample front seat room with the rear great for small children. No haggling here MSRP is the best they can do and it is obvious why.
