Overview
Vans like the Ram ProMaster are the ultimate in configurability. The ProMaster offers buyers the choice of 1500, 2500 and 3500 load ratings; cargo, passenger and chassis-cab configurations; and three wheelbase lengths. Cargo and chassis-cab vans offer a choice of three trim levels for front seat comfort, while passenger vans are only available in the plushest (relatively speaking) SLT+ trim. The only front-wheel-drive work van sold in the U.S., the ProMaster boasts the lowest and widest load floor in its class.

Edmunds spotlight: Numerous comfort, convenience and safety features
You won't get massaging seats in a ProMaster (at least not from the factory), but you might be surprised by some of the upscale features Ram offers for its toolbox on wheels. The interior can be upgraded with genuine leather seating, swiveling driver and front passenger seats, and heated front seats. Available safety tech includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane keeping assistance, and even partially automated parking (the vehicle handles steering, but the driver is still has to shift between drive and reverse and control the speed).
Competitors to consider
The Ford Transit Cargo Van is available in a similar number of configurations as the ProMaster, but it also offers the choice of a more powerful turbocharged V6 engine and all-wheel drive. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was the first of these European-style vans to be sold in the U.S. and, while it doesn't offer quite the range of body sizes as the Ford or Ram, it too is available with all-wheel drive and is more comfortable than either of the domestic choices.

Have 4 promasters in my fleet, all have had to go back to dealer for issues. The parts are not avaliable anywhere, can't even get brake pads at a parts store, you have to find them online from China .Constant electrical issues with sensors and safety equipment, take to dealer and they make up excuses to not fix it if you added anything to the van.I have been waiting over a year for a mirror … that no one but dealer stocks but its on back order and price of shot up from 500 bucks to 1000 while waiting.Ive had to replace the rear brake pads in all.of them with less than 30k miles while the fronts are fine, dealer says its normal, but I know its not.Stick to ford or chevy, these things are junk.

2022 Ram ProMaster Cargo Van 1500 Low Roof 3dr Van w/118" WB (3.6L 6cyl 9A)
We have a 2022 Ram Promaster City which we have been waiting for a part for 9 months. We have been unable to drive for our business this vehicle for 9 months We have continued to pay the payments for 9 months without any benefit. But that is not the worst. They don't care week after week nothing. We found a used part with 1 year warranty and do you think RAM would help with the cost … (it is still under warranty) Oh no because it is not their new part which could be year's before they manufacture they will not pay the labor.
Could "Ram" it's way out of a paper bag!

2022 Ram ProMaster Cargo Van 3500 High Roof 3dr Van w/159" WB (3.6L 6cyl 9A)
We purchased multiple 2022 Ram Promaster Long wheel base work vans for our company and WOW have we been disappointed! We have had nothing but issues form electrical, starter, e-brake, forward safety and key fob issues. Our dealer tells us they are all software issues and not one time has had a fix for any of it... Ram put a junk product out on the road and does not back their products. … We also have three 2022 Ram 2500 trucks and these have all been constantly in the shop from day one... But a Chevy or Ford, avoid these vehicles at all costs! They are cheaper for a reason
