GoingAndGoing
We could always count on this car with very little time in the shop. Plenty of room throughout the car. Great for shopping or traveling and with 23mph city and 28 highway not too expensive to use. Yes the valves tap but they've been tapping for 60 thousand miles with no problem. My wife loves it and had it repainted last year. The original paint job was coming off but with the new color it's almost like new.
170000 and still going!
I love this car! I've owned it for 10 years with no major repairs. Yes, the paint peeled horribly but I had it repainted and it looks like new. This car is very comfortable and roomy for a small car. It knocks a little upon start-up but it has done this since I bought the car. It burns a little oil but not so much that I must add oil between oil changes. For a 14 year old car, it still gets 30 mpg on the highway. It has lots of get-up-and- go. I have taken care of this car and it has taken care of me.
My 3rd Acclaim
This is my 3rd Acclaim in about 10 years. I love these cars. They're reliable and excellent in the snow, not to mention inexpensive to operate and maintain.

good car
good car for the money 2.5 good engine but a little under powered
What a great car
My parents bought this car back in 1992 and it has been wonderful. Although the paint has basically scaled away on the roof and the hood, the car still runs great. The acceleration on it isn't great now, but then again its a 15 year old 4- cylinder economy car. The car's wonderful on long car trips, as it has plenty of room. I chose to drive this car instead of a 2000 PT Cruiser; that car was a piece of junk.
Grandparents Car
A decent car in its time. Mine now has almost 77,000 original miles. Original paint has peeled off the top side of the car and the interior fabric is faded, but the fabric is not worn, not torn, and the seats are in very good condition and comfortable. The comfort of the car is excellent. It is solid and quiet on the road. Other than normal consumable parts like brakes and tires, the engine has needed the head gasket to be replaced twice and the MAP and O2 sensors have failed once each.
Best value I've ever owned
I bought the car to pull a trailer as well as for transportation. 3 Kids drove car until they left home. Rebuilt transmission at 150,000 miles Car still in use at 270,000. Would love to get another at this value

At 130K the engine needed to be rebuilt, however, no real problems after that. Low cost parts, brakes, rotors.. etc. Great reliability - perfect road trip car. the car has over 175K and is still running.
Plymouth Acclaim 91
Got car at 16, and although it was not the car of choice it has been much more reliable than many more "fashionable" cars of friends.
My Best Used Car
This has been my best used car, for cost of upkeep, gas usage ,tires, all around good transportion, for the least cost per mile.

Why did i buy this car?!
I bought this car and this car has started to fall apart. This has begin a money pit and an eye sore. I have the lights held in place with a toothbrush it burns oil like a WWII tank and it puts out a blue smoke screen when i hit the gas. THe speakers stopped working not long after purchase and now the seats have all ripped. Also the timing belt ripped like a paper bag on the highway. I am afraid to drive it in towns since i fear the smoke will harm small children or animals.
better than the energizer bunny
I bought this car with 11000 miles on it, and it's been great. Due to a growing family, we need more space.
Great First Car
Great car. I bought it with 80,000km's (49,710 miles). Drove it pretty hard (as I generally drive) and it held up very well. even though the road to the cottage is rough on trucks (let alone cars). At about 110,000km's (68,351 miles) the tranny gave out. Other than that, it's been good.
Great car for 500 bucks
This I have had car since 1999 great car rides AWSOME and great in snow . Light rust on back bumper . Never in accident Acclaim LX $600

Best car ever
My 2.5 4cy gets 39mpg. She has been the best car ever. Very low maintenance and super cheap on parts. One tank of gas last 3 weeks. To bad they dont bring back these types of cars.
