The best thing about these trucks is the little engine that could yes the 4 cyl ka24e.I owned every Nissan/Datsun they made,510,620,720 this trucks the d21 model and thank car gods that didn't put the v6 in them or we would' t be so happy with are Nissan trucks.the v6 engine is was in most pathfinders and you Doin' t see or here much about them for a reason. go look in junk yard youl see em..my friends all most drive Toyotas and my Nissan eats em up down left right around everything. save u a headache n keep, buy, push a Nissan instead of a getting a toyota.

250,000 and still kickin'

I bought my Nissan from my step dad in July of this year, it had 230,000 miles on it. Before that my sister and my brother in law owned it. They had a little problem with it idling and running so when I got it I put some really strong carb cleaner down it and it came to life. Now I'm trying to figure out why it surges on take off from 1st then falls flat on its face, and it doesn't get as good gas mileage as I thought it would. Other than that, it's been an excellent truck.

This truck just keeps on going. I habe owned it for 7 years, bought it with 137,000 miles on it. I have run it through extensive heat, cold, rain and anything in between and it keeps going. It now has 189,600 miles on it and it is still running strong. In my time of owning it I have only had to replace the alternator, valve cover gasket, fuel pump and the fan clutch. Besides regular maintenance this has been a very low maintenance truck. The engine is running strong and I expect it to keep running for years to come. They don't make them like this anymore. Even in the snow my truck is only 2WD but I have never once been stuck. Put some weight in the back and you will be just fine. It's a fun truck and very reliable.

A poor man's "Toyota" pick-up

This is the only vehicle I have ever bought brand new and it was only because the dealership had a ton of "stripped not equipped" models that were being sold cheaply. By stripped, I mean there was no radio or even a rear bumper. However, while a bit under-powered this pickup worked well for a number of years and proved to be quite reliable, although it didn't seem to be of the same quality caliber as a comparably sized Toyota pick-up. The gas mileage and handling wasn't all that great either.

I bought the truck with 40k miles, and for the next 30k, things went great, after that, the thing has been falling apart. It is a great truck to drive, and it has never left me stranded, but it is nickel and diming me to death. It is getting ready to roll over 100k, and here is a list of things I have replaced: 2 front oxygen sensors, rear oxygen sensor, air intake temp sensor, air intake control valve, and more spark plugs than most v-8 owners. I do realize that some cars are much less reliable, but that is why I didn't buy a freaking daewoo. There are many other parts going bad, and I get 16mpg on the highway. I got 23 until NGK stopped making copper tip plugs. I'm buying a Toyota.
