Used 2015 Nissan Sentra Sedan Consumer Reviews
2015 Not bad total but very poor interior desgin
Pro: I put 6500 miles on my 2015 Sentra, I bought it new for $14K it has AC, AT, auto lock and auto window. Car runs good and (according to car computer at least) it does get good mileage (unless rigged to give favorable readings). it handles well with adequate power. One big con is the interior design: the center console between front seats serves no purpose, almost zero storage, no arm rest and very cheap cup holders; they did not spend a penny on this thing. The glove box is also useless without side walls every thing falls down when you open it. Almost no inside storage. Trunk is good and spacious, the inside (rear seats) seems to be better space than 2013 Corolla I had, if they had paid attention to interior design it would have been a better can than the Corolla. The car is worth 13 to Max $14K, it is not worth to spend more.

2015 Nissan Sentra transmission issues
I purchased this vehicle brand new off the lot in 2015, 3 years later and 76k miles later I was having issues with the transmission. I took my vehicle to the shop and sure enough I needed a transmission reconstruction. I am not alone, my brother also bought a brand new 2016 Nissan Altima, same issue with his car only at 63k miles just over the manufactures warranty of 60k. I purchased a new vehicle to avoid the maintenance issues that I would have with a used vehicle never would I have imagined that I would be incurring a cost for transmission reconstruction under 100k miles. Nissan was known for durability and maintenance free vehicles. My parents had owned Nissans in the past both over 250k miles and never did they replace the transmission. I do believe this is an issue with the newer models. This was my first brand new car and never again will I ever buy a Nissan ever again.

I used to be a Nissan fan...
I really used to like Nissans, simply based on appearance and interior design/comfort, up until I rented one for what was supposed to be 2 weeks. A few days into my rental, I experienced what I believe to be a CVT Transmission failure. The car lost 50% of its (already limited) power, and the engine light and traction control light came on. This was preceded by the car lurching at slow speeds (<20mph) for a couple days prior. I limped back to the rental office, struggling to maintain 40mph, and switched it out. All they had was another Sentra, so I accepted it. It drove normally for a few days, but then it too started to lurch at low speeds. Luckily I was able to switch it out with a different brand altogether - no way was I risking that happening again. Both cars had less than 26,000 miles. Aside from that, I still like the interior of the Sentra. Proximity key and push button start are nice to have, and the stereo is quite good for the class. Rear seat room is excellent, as is trunk space. It's also very quiet at highway speeds, and I averaged 35mpg. However, driving dynamics are underwhelming. Lots of body roll around corners, weak acceleration, artificial steering, and a fairly unsettled ride. I've driven several other cars in this class, and the Sentra is by far the least enjoyable to drive. The car seems to struggle when merging onto any road with a speed limit of more than 40mph, and the CVT makes the whine/noise even worse. The engine is even loud while going up moderate hills at city speeds. Slow/loud acceleration is common with any car in this class, but the Sentra is definitely the most noticeable, annoying, and SLOW. It's not like I'm used to excess power, either...I drive a 4-cylinder Honda. Between the uncomfortable ride and the reliability issues, and I would never even consider purchasing a Sentra. It seems CVT issues are prevalent in nearly all newer Nissan models, so I would steer clear altogether. If you're looking for a reliable commuter car, I would suggest something more along the lines of Hyundai Elantra, Mazda3, or Toyota Corolla.

Very solid car.
The Sentra is perfect in every way, except one: it's a little slow to accelerate. It's a quality car; there's nothing "cheap" about it. The best things: 1) economy (38 mpg city, 42 highway), 2) the ride (handling is good, the engine is quiet, etc.), 3) the back seat room (I'm 6'2" & 280 pounds, and there's plenty of room for me in the back seat), 4) the interior and exterior fit and finish are above average, 5) the maintenance costs are very reasonable. I just wish the Sentra was a little bit quicker.
