Used 2015 Nissan Sentra Sedan Consumer Reviews
Love Nissan and like this car but...
Have had a lot of issues with this car, A/C had to be recharged 6mo in, the carpet is coming up brought it to nissan and they ended up replacing the whole floor carpet... less than a month later its coming up again. The car sounds rough at times when idle specially at first start up. Haven't even owned the car for a year and the suspension is starting to make noise.. Great on gas milage and so on but these cosmetic issues are getting to be ridiculous. Update: Transmission went out at 90,000 miles Nissan was willing to cover 3/4 of it. I hit 107,000 miles AC starts failing again. Bring it to Nissan they say nothing is wrong with it even though it is blowing warm air. Bring it to FireStone they say it needs a recharge wanting to charge like $500 for it. Brought it to another mechanic and they say that the condenser needs to be replaced. At around 102,000 miles started having issues with the MAF sensor with the check engine light coming on. At one point the car could barely accelerate. Bring it to Nissan and they charged me around $300 for it few weeks later light comes on again scan the code same error bring it to Nissan light turns off and they see nothing wrong with it. Wasted so much money on this MAF issue and this dealership just keeps dicking around with it.

For the basic Nissan Sentra 2015
I love my car, but I have had a few issues. The first months I had it the left side of the steering wheel would not work. I couldnt change the radio station or make calls tried calling the dealership but unless they actually see it happening there is nothing wrong with the car, also the windshield wiper randomly flew off, also called the dealership but blamed it on taking it for a carwash, if that is true or not I would not know. But my biggest issue that I continue to have is the button on the key to open the trunk, that button is soooo sensitive. Anything will make it go off, I go into a store and on several occassions come back to an open trunk, when all I did was put the key in my bag. I have had valuable stuff in my car, its come to the point that if I wake up in the middle of the night I check up on my kid and on my car to make sure the trunk did not open. This has not happened just to myself it has happened to my sister so I know its not just me doing something wrong.

DISHONEST NISSAN
If your in the market for a Nissan Sentra, don't waste your time. This car has serious transmission problems as well as engine and computer issues that make this car a very bad buy for consumers. It also doesn't hold it's value at all. Mine is a 2015 Nissan Sentra s with only 16,500 miles on it and still looking like showroom new. I live in the mountains of Asheville North Carolina. I started having transmission problem s after 2500 miles on the car. It wouldn't go up our steep mountain ski trails at all without smelling of burnt oil and electrical smells. It would also stall out. This car is made for the flat even roads - not for mountain driving. Nissan usa.com, doesn't care at all about it's customers when it comes to this issue and denies anything wrong with the car. Nissan owns 75% of the transmission company and this CVT of theirs is the worst in American usage.

Never buy a Nissan again
I bought this car used June 2018 with around 50,000 miles. I had to replace the battery and even though it was still under warranty the dealership I went to would not honor the warranty and when calling the Corporate Office, they told me it was up to the dealership whether they wanted to honor the warranty and refused to send me a battery from the factory to replace myself. Now with almost 70,000 miles on the car the transmission went and Nissan will not stand by their product again. Very disappointed!

2 transmission failures
The car itself is ok but the transmission is total junk. Go to carcomplaints.com and read the horror stories like mine. Did recommended fluid change at required time 59,000 miles. Transmission failed at 70,000. Replaced under extended warranty. Now replacement transmission now is failing at only 49,000 miles.
