Nissan Platinum Edition
Have nothing but wonderful things to report about my Pathfinder. It is my first SUV and I could not be more pleased with its comfort. Am particularly happy with the way it drives---frankly, it is MUCH easier to handle than the Grand Marquis I traded! The performance is magnificent.....very powerful, smooth ride, and no problems todate. The interior is so comfortable and roomy; love the sun roof! Second-row seat folds down. GORGEOUS luminous gold....It is my LSU Fightin' Tigers vehicle!
Tough little SUV
I was drawn to the 2004 Pathfinder for its styling and performance. This SUV is loaded with options that make driving and riding enjoyable in all weather conditions. Will keep it forever!

From "Nearly Flawless" to "Major Flakes"
My first review was published at 2 yrs, 23K miles titled "Nearly Flawless". 3 years and almost 30K miles later the drivetrain performance still is. However this vehicle has developed a Major paint problem - the paint is flaking off the top of the lift gate and starting on the roof. I lose about 4 sq inches every time I wash! Nothing environmental or damaged and I am vigilant with maintenance. Just defective paint as far as I can tell. Nissan's response was basically "Sorry, it's out of warranty". Unfortunate, because it's an otherwise fantastic vehicle. I was a big fan and now they've lost a customer.
This Is My Second Pathfinder
Had a '94 Pathfinder that I just gave to my son and bought a 2004 because I never had a moment of trouble with the previous car. This one drives smoothly like a ca. The cabin air filter is wonderful as is the POP package extras I could drive forever. Lots of comfort. This car is powerful and gets me onto the highway without hesitation. No problem with room in the back. The dealer was great too. I'll be buying my third Pathfinder in ten years.
I like mine
I have put 1500 miles on mine and I have concluded that "I like it". It has power, comfort simple to operate and handles very well. Great for hurricanes and remodeling. It can easily haul 12 sheets of plywood or sheetrock if you fold the rear seat down and lay 2 2x4s on the top of the folded read seat back - I was unable to do that with the Durango or 4-Runner. Only thing I'd change is the location of the oil filter. Its a bear to get to. Great little vehicle.
