Fell of a cliff
At 78,000 miles everything fell apart. All the oxygen and fuel sensors went kaput. Leaks at the CV joints and oil filter housing. All of this messed up the spark plugs Severe frame rust. Computer software required upgrades. In July the dealer told us it was in great shape. Six months later the repair bills will exceed $8,000 Considering the very low residual price, the $1,000 annual oil change, the 18 mpg using premium fuel, it was a very poor economic choice. The dealer was not great - he wanted to replace an entire seat belt when WD 40 easily fixed it in my garage. Still, it gave a nice ride, and was a decent car until it was not. Now I believe that it belongs in the car crusher If you must drive an MB, either lease it from the dealer or trade it in about a minute before the factory warranty expires.

Still a better car than the top tier of other Bran
I love this car. Period. Roll credits. ..I have had a pretty wide range of vehicles throughout my life, but there's nothing that compares to driving a 'Benz'. It is in a class by itself. Even other brands in it's class cannot compare equally to even the most affordable Mercedes offering; the C-Class. It has exactly that; class. Even more than that, it has strong engineering, attention to detail, comfort, power and much more. Even a 'used' Mercedes-Benz will more than likely have been meticulously maintained and looked after before you've gotten your turn with it. If you have the opportunity to buy one, even once in your life, do it. Overall, you won't regret it. Not to say it doesn't have it's Cons, because there are a few, but with some planning and general know-how, they can be managed. 1. Maintenance is not cheap on a world class car. Be prepared to either pay large sums for a Certified MB dealer to fix whatever goes wrong, or be savvy enough to know where to buy equivalent grade parts and install yourself. It can be done. If you've owned or driven any Euro or non-American brand car and done the maintenance yourself, it's no different with only this one exception; you will need a MB grade code reader and resetter. Do the research, some run under $500, some run well over. You'll need one to reset maintenance notifications within the cars robust computer system. 2. You will get every Tom, Dick and more of a d@#$ that will want to pass you and be just about as inconsiderate a driver to you as you'll ever have to deal with. Something about an MB says to other drivers that you think you're better than they are. If you have a little arrogance to you, this car will easily confirm that for them short of them have top of the line Corvettes, Mustangs, etc. Even most of them, you can hold your ground with. High end AMG owners scoff at the 0-60 in 7.1 seconds the C300 can run at.. but there aren't many cars, used especially, that can boast that. This car does exactly that. You've been warned. It IS addicting, but can get quite expensive at the inquest of Johnny Law. 3. Other than minor annoyances that you really tend to overlook because you're just in awe and appreciation of this finely built and tuned machine.. fade into oblivion when you consider how nice these cars are and how fun they are to drive and be seen in. I personally don't know that I could ever go back to driving something of a lesser class now. It would truly feel like falling from grace.

Unreliable with serious quality problems
After 50,000 miles started to show a list of serious and costing problems. In less than 2 months ( May to July 2018)_ Needed to change the ABS control unit ( repair more than $2,200.-), had an electrical pane due to water infiltration from the rood drainage to the electrical harness ( towing plus $4,000.- in repairs ) . Is a nice car to drive but you do not know when it will be the next problem. in 2 months I spent $6,500.-in repairs, which is 65% of the current sales price ( 67K miles) very poor resale value.

Moving from BMW to a Benz
Wanted to share my experience. Recently sold the E46 330ci and bought a W204 200CGI and found these useful features that the E46 don't have: - Seat memory for both driver and passenger side. E46 is driver seat only. - Power adjustable steering column and head rest with memory. - Seat has power adjustable lumbar support. - Reverse auto-tilt of passenger-side mirror can be adjusted and memorized. - Head restrain will lock during impact. - Seat belt automatically pulls tight after engaging. - Automatic cabin light has a button to enable or disable.
Luxury vs. Sport model
The car is great but our hardest decision was Luxury vs. Sport. While the Sport seems most popular, this is why we decided on the Luxury. 1. We keep cars for 100,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. The Luxury is a more traditional look so we thought it would 'last' longer. 2. The ride is stiff, maybe a little too stiff in the Sport. 3. The tires are different sizes on the Sport so can't be rotated. 4. The ground effects stuff on the sport looks alittle edgy, and we don't have curb cutouts in our hood so we have to jump an angled curb. Looks like the ground effects stuff is a little closer to the ground. 5. This one is really shallow! Like seeing the star from inside
