Used 2005 Mazda Tribute Consumer Reviews
New Tribute
I just purchased a new Tribute and couldn't be happier. I had been looking into them for a while and was glad to finally get one. I think they are the best small SUV on the market. I would recommend that everyone try fightingchance.com to get the best price, I got mine $526 BELOW invoice cost. Deals are out there, you just have to look.
Great Midsize SUv
Well built and fun to drive. Sexy looking design.
Love this car
I bought my Tribute in Feb 06 with only 6,000 miles on it. In 4 months I have put an additional 10,000 miles on it. The car rides and handles great. The leather seats are comfortable even after putting 1500 miles on in one day. Getting in and out of the vehicle is easy; even my Grandma agrees with me that it's easier to get in and out of then my mom's 02 Ford Explorer. Controls are easily accessible and easy to use even at night. There's plenty of room inside the vehicle for 4 big adults and a child. With the seats down there's plenty of room for hauling stuff. The AWD works great in the snow and on the ice. Drove up the iced cover road to Paradise on Mt. Rainier - no problem in March and driven through heavy mud.
Very disappointed in gas mileage
Great car, I love almost everything about it, except the gas mileage. I chose the Tribute primarily because of the EPA estimate of 29 mpg hwy, but, even though I drive 95% hwy, and at normal speeds, the best I've gotten (after 3500 mi) is 23 mpg, usually about 21.5. Other than that, I love it, but would like to know what is wrong.
Value King!
This SUV is wonderful. The V6 makes all the RAV4 and CRV's green no matter the color ordered. For about the same price as a cramped and bouncy RAV4 I got this Tribute with many more features options and the Tribute actually has a rear bumper. This Mazda is a really usable size too. At work we ride to lunch and get to see each other's vehicles. The RAV4 is more like a mini-micro-SUV in comparison. It has a 4 cylinder engine which idles so fast when cold that it jerks when you put it in drive while the smooth Mazda V6 feels like a much more expensive vehicle. Do yourself a tremendous favor and drive a Tribute before you spend too much on a RAV4 or CRV. We have two Tributes now and love them
